Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere.
I wondered if it was possible to distribute sound from an AppleTV attached to a TV master via hdmi?
(The Apple TV already plays fine on the Beovision 8-40 it is directly attached to.)

Only if you take the toslink-out, converts that to analog (stereo) and connects this to an analog input on the tv.
This source is then what you will have to choose from a linkroom.
