Hello,
As my BeoVision 7-40 has not been updated since a long time, I was wondering if the flash tool and some recent software release for it is available on the internet.
Unfortunately no B&O dealer is near where I live and I thought I could make the update myself.
My Beovision 7-40 is a mkIII version (Type 9376) and has a very old version of firmware (SW03.50a).
Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.
Regards,
Diego.-
From my understanding there isn't any downloadable upgrades. Needs to be done on site by a dealer.
Too long to list....
If you have the built in DVB-HD, it can be updated with software found here:

Livingroom: BL3, BL11, BV11-46 Kitchen: Beosound 1 GVA, Beocom 2 Bathroom: M3 Homeoffice: M3, Beocom 2 Library: Beosound Emerge, Beocom 6000 Bedroom: M5, Essence remote Travel: Beoplay E8 2.0, Beoplay EQ, Beoplay Earset
Thank you. Unfortunately I don't have the DVB-HD module, just the standard DVB-T/S. The BeoVision has been bought in 2008 (it's based on the BeoSystem3).
That is an old software software version. Last week I had a B&O service center update my 9383, Beovision 7 mk.3 from vers. 6.11a to the newest version.
I recommend you ask your dealer what you actually get from an update before spending the money.
I got none of updates that were important to me, and now my TV freezes every time I access the channel groups. Apparently my surround sound module is to old, to support the update and I am still waiting for an answer to the the problems the software introduced.
So if you are happy with your TV as it is you should really consider if it is worth the money and time spent. I spent many many hours trying to setup my TV again of the technician updated the TV.
This is a nice comment, kimchr, and your considerations are the reasons why I would like to do it myself, if possible.
The TV is working correctly, every now and then I have problems with HDMI sources (the only one I'm using), but a switch-off/switch-on of the TV usually bring everything up again.
I'm pretty sure the dealer (whoever) is not completely aware of all the modifications that an upgrade could bring, especially after so many releases, this is why I was trying to figure it myself.
Thank you.
