Based on your "Problem Statement" and in particular the fact that your standby light flashes when you press the buttons on the remote tells me that you have an intermittent hardware fault which has become permanent in the power supply control circuit or some fault triggering a no switch on signal.

There are many reasons for the power supply not switching on out of standby, but in most cases its a safety measure due to a fault somewhere in the chassis and you are going to need a knowledgeable engineer to do some voltage checks to establish the actual fault. If you get a B&O engineer to come and fix it they will replace the whole chassis, rather than look for the faulty component.

Hi,

Had the same issue with my bc1, told it would require a new power supply board! Result ....wrong b&o advised they no longer had these parts sadly of to the tv graveyard ,

I had the same problem with my Beovion 1 type 8610. I tried everything to turn the thing on with no result. The dealers conclusion was that the Eprom and processor on the main board where not function. They had to be replaced. Unfortunately the processor cannot be ordered anymore from Bang and Olufsen, so the Beovision 1 is RIP.....
