Hi
Long time I wrote in this forum. Now it is time.
I have a problem when connecting a Mac mini to my Beoplay V1. It seems, among other things that, the bluetooth mouse is delayed about one second when it is touched. I used to have a Grundig TV at the same place before and then it worked perfectly. The Grundig TV screen broke (probably the kids) and I shifted to a V1. The TV is quite nice but I am very tired of this effect. It seems that the Mac mini is working slow with the V1.
I have two TVs connected to the Mac mini, which I also had before. The other TV is in the kitchen and it does not seem to have this problem. The other TV is a Loewe Connect.
Anyone knows how this can be solved?
One other thing: Is it possible to get the sound from the V1 to the aux in a Beosound 4? It does not seem to be easy?

The delay on the V1 is among the worst in the high end marked. The only thing you can do is to active game mode, but even here the delay will be noticeable.
The V1 (or BV11) are not suitable as monitor or for gaming.

This is a known fault then. The dealer actually said it could be better in game mode but I do not know if I noticed the difference.
Is it a software or hardware fault then? Is it to much to hope for a solution in the future?
I find it rather strange that a company like B&O release a product with a fault this obvious, expensive as it is. Is it the same problem with an AppleTV connected?
On top of this, I can not get the sound to the beosound 4. The Grundig TV did that for less than half the price. Why are B&O making things difficult for people like this?
It is not a fault but a consequence of how the TV works. The reason behind every lag is some sort of processing of the signal. It's very common to have a high degree of lag in any modern TV, and that's the reason why they even have a Game-mode. This mode works by bypassing some of the processing, and there by reducing the time it takes the signal to be displayed.
I have no idea how the internal system works, but I suspect that nothing can be done about this problem. I seems to require fundamental changes to how the TV works, and how the Video Engine is implemented in the TV.
FlatpanelsHD.com wrote this:"Next, we moved on to on to examine input lag and we had a bad feeling here. When a PC is connected you can clearly feel the delay when moving the mouse and our testing revealed that BeoPlay V1 often topped 200 ms in input lag, which makes fast console games close to unplayable. Even in the game mode, BeoPlay V1 failed to lower input lag to an acceptable level, and this is an important issue that B&O need to address. In the game mode, casual gaming is okay but if you prefer sports games, such as FIFA, racing games or FPS games, such as shooters, I think you will be bothered by the delay. We were."
