And, I wonder why the seller won't ship to Canada.  I've seen some countries that people won't ship to, apparently due to a challenging postal service, but never Canada!

I have seen this before and also noticed that several sellers no longer ship to Italy either.
After many years on Ebay with shipping back and forth to the world, it's very clear that there are just some places
on earth with a statistically higher problem frequency, be that scammers, postal difficulties or pure coincidence - or a combination.
I still hold the world open but have considered restricting to steer out of trouble.

How strange you should say that about Italy Martin..  Over the last 12 months we've kept a log of how transactions overseas have panned out - and Italy stands absolutely head and shoulders above any other country for "problems with the goods" upon arrival (Italy on it's own adds up to more than the sum total of every other country added together) almost all of which have been resolved by either giving them a partial refund or paying their "chosen engineer" some money.  We now find that when we say "post it back to us at our expense, we will repair and send back at our expense" we almost always never hear from them again..

We're on the verge of not shipping to Italy, but that decision would make me quite sad as there are plenty of honest buyers there.  However, unfortunately there are plenty of dishonest ones too...

That said, the numbers could be just a freak of chance and I've got it all wrong.  I hope so.

'Have also seen Italy excluded from destinations a seller will ship to.   Some discussion about it on eBay's community board here.
