The Beogram 3000 auction has been running for some time now but the listing for this gem has just begun. If I were a vintage collector I'd snap it up immediately - price seems fair and he's negotiable.
I have been watching the BG 3000, and now this one Beolit 39, for the BG I would go for it if I had the money, the Beolit I´m not so sure.
If I were a rich man.
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
That is quite a price for something that will really be an ornament. The Beogram also seems very expensive - I got mine for £400, and thoughtthat expensive. The Acoustical cost me £100. Don't misunderstand me, the Beolit is very beautiful, but this one will clearly be a rich man's toy.
Peter
Yes, it's a collectors item. Not unlike 400£ fountain pens.
Aren't all B&O rich mans toys ?How many Beolit 39s are for sale ?Seriously, this one is very nice.It may be of very little practical use but it works and that is always good and interesting, particularly for a conversation piece like this. However, it has a reproduction dial glass so not 100% original and that affects the price.Compared to the last BL39 sales I know of, this one seems to be priced just right.
Martin
But I can use and will use my pen - in rotation with the few (!) others I have !
It is very nice and I would like an old radio - but maybe not at that price. I will stick with my Beolit 700.
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
I agree - super design - they are rather big though - have you been to Struer and seen one in the flesh?
Hi Martin,
I agree 100%.
This is a very nice Beolit 39 and it's working.
I know the seller and he is a very trustworthy person and has experience with the restoration of old tube radio's.
Rudy
Rudy, as far as I can remember you sold one for MUCH less than this guy is asking for right? Ridiculous price!
Brengen & Ophalen
The radio did not sell.
Chris Townsend:If they made the Beolit today but with an ultra cool OLED display, I'd buy one. It's as beautiful and desirable today, as it was when first made.
As B&O is into retro design these days (e.g. Beolit 12) -maybe that would be an idea for a new stationary Beolit model... ;-)
Beolit listing ended by seller today, probably sold outside Ebay.
He's baaack..
