I've been picking up a few pairs of Beovox S45 and S45.2's lately. I've noticed that the S45's have a tweeter with a sort of screen over them, and the S45.2s have a different tweeter, and some are yellow and some aren't. Is there any difference in sound quality between any of these? If so, which is the best? Thanks.
In my recent experience, they sound the same. But they cannot be switched around because they have different templates.

What do YOU think ?

There is one type in the s45 and three types in the s45.2 as far as I know.
They are all Philips drivers. The one in the s45 is a Mylar dome, it's a clear yellow colour with a screen over it.
the s45.2 started off with a revised clear Mylar dome, same colour with a little basket over it, they then went to a shiny black Mylar dome which I believe is less common, I think it had some foam under the dome to change the response, they finally changed to a silk dome which is a dull black colour.
Traditionally the Mylar domes have had a slightly edgier sound, the move to the silk dome was seen as a refinement. I prefer Mylar in an analog system, it's pretty bright for CDs though.
