I have a BeoCom 6000 system with (what the latest looking Beoline base, but SW might not be current). The existing 2 handsets work perfectly (Handset SW 2.60 May 5 2006), but when I tried to connect a new (used) handset it registers OK and I can access the address book, but can't get a line and then after a few seconds I get the 'Alert' message and no contact with base. The SW version on the new handset is the same: 2.60 May 5 2006). so it can't be a case of incompatible software - Is the new handset faulty? (it was obtained used).
