Beogram 4002 Problem

Got a problem with a Beogram 4002.

When switched on it starts on 45 by default. Then on switching to 33 and then standby, it starts on 33 as normal.

However, when turning off at the mains it switches back to 45. Is there a component on the speed control circuit that might be the issue here?

Hi Ben:

I suspect the capacitors in unit have gone bad and causing the quirky behavior.

List member Graham might be able to help you  fix it if you live near him.

In some versions, the condition of the lamps for the speed indicators are essential for correct
operation of the speed switching.
A broken (or wrong wattage) lamp may cause problems.
I've seen it a couple of times myself and Tim also noted it (bottom of this page):
