Q: How can the Lintonic TT455-RT-238 help to Integrate devices not found in the PUC list?
A1:
The best solution is to connect the -238 box to a SCART connector. This is possible if you have an unused SCART connector on your BeoVision which can be configured as V.MEM or DVD connection. You will need a special custom made SCART cable. Details are shown on the Lintronic support site. This way to integrate the lintronic box has the following advantages:
- Power on/off is controlled according to the connection settings of the BeoVision
- You don't need an extra IR-Receiver
- You can use the non B&O device in a link room, exactly like PUC controlled devices
- The Third-Party device can be hidden away
A2:
If this is not the way you want to go and you don't need link romm acessibility you can use an extra IR-Receiver connected to the -238 box IR input. But you need to be careful not to mixup IR commands, as there are TWO IR-RECEIVERS active - the one of the BeoVision and the one connected to the -238 box.
A3: (information supplied by member nico vercammen)
For BeoSystem3 users there is a very simple way to integrate the -238 box. Simply connect BS3's IR-IN connector to the IR connector of the -238 box using a standard mini jack cable. The IR commands reveiced by BS3 also go to the -238 box.
Q: Can Lintronic help to integrate a non B&O screen with BeoSystem2/3?
Yes, you need to have to choose one of the integrations shown above. Depending on the amount of command integration - only ON/OFF or additional setting - the memory map will be simple or more complex.
Q: What are the functions a can "programme" in the memory map?
There is a special page"Integrating non-B&O using Lintronic" in this WIKI section, aswering this question, where you can download a guide and a real life example.
