Hi! I searched a lot and still didn't get a clear answer.

Is it posibble to conect a pre-out non B&O amplifier to a beolab 2?

From what I saw only beolab 11 can be hooked to a non B&O amplifier.

And if it is possible please tell me what cable should I use.

Thank you!

THIS cable should be ok.

Be aware, you will need trigger out on your amp to make this work.

I just ordered some of this (for Beolab 8000/4000).
No experience yet.

Best regards
Ralf

Kallasr, thx...maybe will work, but for Beolab 8000/4000 you need just regular RCA-RCA cable conected to line-in socket of the loudspeakers and to pre-amp outs of the receiver/processor.

Hope it helps.

I cheked my ROTEL and it does have a 12 V trigger out port. Is that ok for the beolab2/beolab 11?

Thx Michael, I looked at that cable but it is a mini-jack to powerlink....that is not what I was looking for.

@liviu_o (about rca plugs only):

I know BUT in a surround set-up the speakers turn off if no signal is present - this happens very often with rears and sometimes with the fronts (when there is a lot of dialogue via the center). The linked cables keep the speakers alive with the power present, according to what I read. I will know exactly when I install my set-up, maybe in a week or so.

Best regards

Ralf

Ralf, indeed this is a problem with beolab when they are not "feeded"for a period and turn off then on...and so on...during a movie.

I am waiting your conclusion and I'll buy this cables if they will keep the speakers awake :)
