I'm not at all convinced that a speakerless Avant would be markedly cheaper. Having just one model allows them to press the price down already, without the logistics, part inventory etc overhead of maintaining different models (remember these are still very small series products, as far as the rest of the industry is concerned).
Besides it is already very cheap for a B&O TV.

olvisab:I don't consider that the avant is not cheap, I just believe if the price was a bit lower it would probably help some potential buyers to take their decision in particular if they search for a monitor only tv (with bs4 built in of course).
I agree. The option of an Avant without the speakers (though it would take away some of the "magic") would really increase the options for buyers who want to get started on B&O fresh. To tailor their beoexperience from the start. I'd consider an Avant screen, and choose my speaker options along the way. But, I'd imagine that the stand options would need re-designed for those who want the option of a beolab 7.x or other options if B&O really do want comprehensive options for their customers. Maybe they thought of this and decided it was too much $ spend on R&D.

BeoVision Avant with better sound

KMA:Hasn't B&O discontinued the BeoLab 7.x series as well as BeoLab 10? That'd mean there are no separate center speakers in the current portfolio...
That'd mean there are no separate center speakers in the current portfolio...
That is why I talked about 'a re-design' or 'new edition' of those - which I am pretty sure won't be!

There is a tv - and there is a BV
@Peter Pan
That would mean another stand - or re-designing the old BV7 stand ;-)
Or an alternative stand from Stbbrackets!

It all depends on how you want to use a tv/a setup.
Most people want a tv with excelent sound - that is what B&O intended with the Avant.
Those who want more, does buy external speakers (for front and/or rear) and maybe a sub too.
Indeed, it is a pity that you can't just use your old (center) speaker (in fact you could if you only would) and that way can't have 'your' new tv at a cheaper price.
But B&O has choosen to make a tv for the majority - not for a minority (who want to re-use their old speaker(s)).
I am sure that a non-speaker Avant would be a 'bargain' for you, but surely not for B&O - concidering that they would have to offer new external center speakers and stand-options for the few who favourite 'your' solution.
Pros and cons.
B&O makes the tv - B&O makes the decisions. Not we!
olvisab:Conclusion : Too much center speakers kill the center speaker Do you consider this situation as normal ? Or b&o has a new strategy, after the mono center speaker (bl 7.4) the stereo center speakers (7.1,7.2,7.6), the real center speaker (stereo + center from the avant) they will probably produce the 5.1 center speaker with the rears built in. beosound 5/BM5 , beosystème 4500 , beolab 1, beolab 3, beolab 7.2, beolab 5000, beolab 14, beolab 3500, beovision av 9000, IWS 2000, beotime, MLGW
KMA:There's surely some need for a center-channel-only BeoLab
I'd think a single Beolab 3 would make a great center channel; it has plenty of placement options, and is pretty unobtrusive to boot.
A BL3 would be my choice for a center speaker, if I had a projector solution - or even, if the room and the screen demands it, a BL20.
So no need for a re-launch of a BL7-4/BL10. Besides, if you reallly want one of these, there are plenty of them on the second-life market.
@olvisab
I wrote an email to Denmark about our wishes:
a TV without unit center speaker like BeoVision 4.
Just have to wait for ! Be patient
