The H6 in the picture - are they in gold(!) and black - or maybe it's just the picture/me?? Have only seen them in leather, black, green and blue (counting out the odd dj khaled versions)

Now that is a beautiful looking boutique showroom! Elegant but still young!

Yeah - 'coz there's a huge market in impulse airport buys!

At best this could make complete Copenhagen (which I still maintain is wonderful) strangers "brand aware".

Ban boring signatures!

I absolutely agree Paul -- I was really excited (for B&O) when I saw these pictures !

Then my pessimism prompted the thought about how one could do a V1 carry-on Laughing

Showed my wife and she had some interesting perspectives:

  • "they're using 'hang sell'" (a retailing term)
  • "they've got prices --- so people will not be worried about touching them"
  •  "it looks current" (in a retailing sense)
  • "it looks young"
  • "it looks open ... and inviting"
  • "it looks like other shops --- people won't be scared to go in"

I'd be really interested to know how much all of these positives turn into real sales!

My wife is a professional retailer and a gifted amateur when it comes to shopping (which for a woman is a different process from buying and different again from a male purchasing) , so I trust her judgement that this will generate greater store traffic and therefore brand awareness and the start of brand engagement

I think the "hang sell" and "prices" will generate impulse buys -- which is what flight delays usually result in

More importantly for repeat flyers (who are males like me) it creates a destination place to hang out in and will lead to purchases on the third trip

I agree with her. Looks pretty darned good to me. B&O should consider more 'pop-up' smaller Play stores in the future.

As a bloke, I never hang out in any store. Go in, do what I need to do, get out! So, these kinds of stores actually suit me better.

I like it and the hang sell concept too.

I think I'd like a V1 as carry on, but I imagine it might be for people that are pre purchasing , like when you go out of melbourne and pre purchase grog and say i'll pick it up on my way through.

I'd like a V1 :-)

remember you're only in trouble if the beagle sits near you.  If he jumps on you, he likes you :-)

Until then: all good.

Looks more like an experiential shop than one for buying . If you can't take a phone on the plane if its half charged , I'd love to try taking a Beolit 12 on a flight direct from the shop.

Looks like a nice place to peruse the range . They should sell coffee there .

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

I like it - it looks cool, relaxed, unintimidating and generally very open and inviting.

It's a win for me on this.  Why can't B&O stores look like this instead of sombre grey carpets and crappy focus panels everywhere?

The nearby B&O store has those moving Focus panels http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xxExAmtUaCk

but this does look very approachable

nice concept, I do like Copenhagen airport.

maybe they should have more of these where you view then order direct delivery to your home.

(on holiday myself and missing the sounds of my B&O .....)

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
