An evening enjoying Harry BellaFonte on my BC1200Makes wonder about the mysterious 2 black frubber eet on the wooden chassi. Why are they there ?Can really this machine stand up ?
My re-capped M75 are my precious diamonds.
Yes, it can stand up.If you rotate the two 5-6cm long plastic feet at the underside, near the front, they will act as the two rear feet when upright. Then fit the two rubber reel holders to the hubs to prevent the tape reels from falling off.
A wallbracket was also available, how cool is that!
You can see the feet stick out in this photo (the right side foot is not completely rotated):

This pic from Beoworld Products, shows it even more clear, so yes I think it can be placed vertical
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
I have tried..but the reels doesnt sit stable by the vertical gravity..its like they will fall of...
Read my post again. And look at the photo.
"Then fit the two rubber reel holders to the hubs to prevent the tape reels from falling off."
Same standing principal as the BC1600 which is how I've got mine.
Dave.
This pic from the archives shows it even more clear: (Not the feets - but the BC standing...)
Rubber reel holders...ahhh :)Thats what I dont haveC
Are these rubber reel holder special for this machine ?, or does other work ?C
They are special for this machine (Beocord 1200/1600). I dont know if you can find some from other tapedecks (other brands) that will fit. Maybe/maybe not.
It is only this site where I have seen RtR decks NOT in a vertical position.
:( more realistic, I will never seen my BV1200 stand up
