Just use a Beolink 1000 or Beo4, 30 to 75 euro. Simple and efficient for that purpose.

Beolink 7000 is lots of lights and unhandy in daily use...

I 100% agree Leslie and Beolink 7000 is not in any way magical!

Yes but the Beolink 7000 opens a whole new facade of the 7000 and indeed 9500 systems. The programming feature allows true control over when the system switches on and off and when used in a link system gives you a virtual system in the link room with feedback on what is going on with the system.

For every day use, a Beolink 1000 is the remote of choice but a 7000 system without a Beolink 7000 is only half the system it can be.

I had a good - now long gone -  friend once, who had the BL7000.

He also had a BS7000/AV9000 setup.

Man - we 'played' a lot with this thing then Stick out tongue

Nice to be able to rewind a Tape preparing it for recording a CD/LP without interrupting what you just listen to....and such things -  from the couch!

We used to program a cue of LP (one side), a CD, a Cassette und then Radio to hear in his workplace at the other end of the house (MCL2A-linked).

And he always called it 'his night remote' Smile

A fantastic piece of electronics (especially at that time!!!), but not really needed today.

There are other ways to do things nowadays.

The BL7000 went, and the BL1000/the Beo4 stayed untill today - surely best way to control a B&O setup for most people.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

For me, the magic is in the interface.

Lying in my bath with nothing but a ceiling-mounted MCL2A and pair of recessed speakers, my entire system lay before me in black and red, blue and white. The metres of 4500 system in the bedroom condensed into a tablet that I could hold in my hands. The lightest touch on gleaming metal and cool glass calling up beautiful music, dimming the lights, relaxing me after a stressful day at the office.

For me, the BS7000 was the least desirable system of the time - black boxes with few buttons to press. But a BS4500 with yards of touch sensors, or a BC9500 with the same interface, but light control too! What an elegant way to control your music.

I bought a BC9500 - some visible touch pads, some hidden until they were needed. But the BL7000 took it to another level. And as Peter said, made the BS7000 the system it was designed to be.
