Beoplay a9 as center speaker, did you try it ?

Hi

Still searching for the most suitable center speaker for my needs :

- must be wall mounted and shorter than a bl7.2

- should look good between my bl5 on the floor and bl5000 wall mounted on each side of the screen

- must be as good as the bl7.2

I thought about the 7.1 but I wonder if an a9 won't be a good alternative because of its look ( rounded form will cut the square form of the bl5000), power and quality of sound, differents frets available, airplay functionality (bluetooth for the new one).

Connect it is not a problem with or without a bv.

What do you thing about this possibility ?

Remind us of the type of TV ...

If a BV then I suspect the A9 would not be on the customisation menu and you would need Geoff Martin's advice on what might approximate ...

On looks alone I would say it would be an inspired choice !

You are right. If I use it with a bv (should be the case for the audio part only with a bv hidden), I don't know which b&o speaker I should select from the list.

Hope Geoff will see this thread and take mn to answer (mn not seconds because is answer are usually so precise and detailed).

I don't know if it is inspired or not, but It came to my mind like an evidence when I look at my actual setup.

2 A9's as supplementary left and right speakers would be a laugh, but I'm not convinced as a centre.

You have a bv 7, you have an a9, after the A 2, it´s time to a new experiment. Big Smile

As nobody can make a test and geoff seems to be too busy unfortunately, I will buy one and make the test myself, as usual.

The new one will have deezer and spotify built in but all I need is a center speaker after all.
