I'm planning to feed a Beolab 2000 from the Beocenter 6 in the next room (landing) and wondering if anything more than a masterlink cable is required. The diagrams from B&O all appear to have a connector box half way. Is this needed for some reason?
thanks

The junction box is only needed if you have to cut the cable to pass it through a hole in a wall for example. If you can use a straight length of Masterlink cable with a plug at each end you don't need anything else.

Thanks Opman. Looks like there's no ML cable equivalent of Sounds Heavenly detachable ended scart plug?
It is possible to crimp a Masterlink plug onto Masterlink cable but you need a special crimping tool. The easiest way to join the cable once cut is by using the junction box. Its relatively cheap and not too difficult to DIY.
