Do you shop at Waitrose and drive an Audi ?

I'm 50 and I felt quite young at the local dealers new Avant launch . I used to buy new Audis before the Q7 changed their image for me and I moved to Alfa Romeo. Card carrying Waitrose shopper though.
Oh damn. I shop at Waitrose for ALL of my food and drive the Audi A3 Sport Sedan. (It's the most environmentally aware petrol engine 1.4 on the market) £20 year car tax, 62mpg! 109g Co2 - thats really important to me :)
I don't even know what Waitrose is (serious), and isn't an Audi just a VW? (just kidding).
Hi Michael,
Waitrose is a supermarket chain in the UK. It's the most classy of all of the chains focusing on amazing customer service and stocking only top quality sourced food. It's slightly more ethical than the other supermarkets in the UK and 'slightly' look after its farmers better. It's staff are all shareholders. It's a nice shopping experience :) It's part of the John Lewis portfolio.
Shame they didn't profile the B&O Play customer. The Apple one is interesting and is the opposite to the Samsung one. But as we know, 99% of marketing is hot sales air! ;)
John Lewis have a great moto "never knowingly undersold" but alas I do not drive a Vorsprung durch Technik any more (owned an A2 which I still feel is an uber cool car today..)
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
You're right Mark, I saw a A2 yesterday and it still looks distinctive 12 years on! I'm really sad about the new MINI though, they've made it really fat and bulky :( First time in 10 years that I haven't bought into the brand
In answer to your question though lol, I don't fit the profile - maybe it's just British (just going on the top selection of each list)
Demographics: Male = yes, 60+ = no, Social Grade = don't do that rubbish
Politics: I don't even know the difference between left and right
Lifestyle: Favourite Dishes = No, Hobbies = No, General Interests = yes, Niche Interests = no; Pets = don't have any
Personality = yes
Brands = Customer of = Yes, Shops at = No; Clothing Brands = Yes, Bank = No, Car = No
Entertainment = generally yes. Does this mean that Kevin McCloud polls well with the over 60 set? Peaches Geldof... serious?
Online = No. I thought this would be www.beoworld.org and bang-olufsen.com
Media = No
So my take on this is that this profile smoothed from 447 respondents what sets a B&O customer as different from their comparison set is that they are Male, over 60, is quite conservative, has a propensity for fashion and style, is mainly interested in the news, has very simple internet and plays Angry Birds or has it installed for the grand kids.
It's not the kind of B&O customer I know...
Mark, I drive an A2!
Fantastic little car and fits very well with the B&O aesthetic I feel!
No Waitrose in France and no Audi in my parking
I'm 42 and I drive a Solowheel and an Alfa Romeo that will soon be changed for an hybrid car.
Ben: Mark, I drive an A2! Fantastic little car and fits very well with the B&O aesthetic I feel!
We had an A2 when they were new. Cool car but not so good on urban roads with speed bumps. Such integrity as aluminium castings and extrusions. Like B&O products. Cost us quite a lot at the time for a small car but it wasn't a rebodied Polo like the A1! Wouldn't buy a current Audi as readily .

Fan-Tas-Tic transport mean ☺ !
I've seen one already in Paris. May be it was you...
Yes very funny to 'fly' with it. I not in Paris. They become more popular I think.
Not only do I not fit the profile, I seem to be the total opposite of the profile (the anti-B & O owner). I hope this doesn't mean someone will be breaking down my door to take my BeoLabs.

Could BOanti be the new sub brand....
Clicking through the tabs there are a few 'direct hits' on me there, but on the whole I don't fit their demographic.
How they came up with 'Desigual' as the favourite clothing brand made me scratch my head a bit. Hugo Boss, Armani, Paul Smith maybe.. but Desigual - when the profiling points towards middle aged Jazz loving, financial documentary watching plain yet tailored cardigan types is beyond me!

The whole thing is complete bollocks! When it was reported in the papers a few weeks ago the "Android" user was 18yrs old, had £125/month disposable income and their favourite food was Venison burgers!
They should open another questionnaire to find out how many people tell the truth in surveys!
And yet another to ascertain how many normal people are willing to take part in their silly surveys anyway.
Ban boring signatures!
heard a good pun about YOUGOV on the BBC Radio 4 comedy programme (other good comedy programmes are available).
"YOUGOV research is dangerous fodder for marketing departments..... it's like giving a child a Kalashnokov..."
Sorry to all the commuters last night as I laughed out loud hearing this and thinking of all our posted comments.

Kind of like the saying that no matter how responsible he seems, never give your gun to a monkey, it never turns out well. Most marketing departments seem to mimic the old trope about an monkeys on typewriters recreating the works of Shakespeare if you give them long enough.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
