Hi

I just discovered the Adaptiv sound technology on the bv 7 40 mk6 and the Listening preset functions.

This last function interests me a lot.

Can I select a listening preset easily from the MLGW ?

Greetings fellow MLGW user!

I tried inspecting the AST preset buttons in the Beo5/Beo6 programming software. However, it did not show what the IR codes are for the presets.Very odd. I thought that if we could see what the IR codes are, it would be easy to establish control from the MLGW.

Hi beojeff,

Still available for talking about this great tool, thanks.

It is possible to use the listening presets by selecting each steps from the main menu to the final presets. A lot of steps are needed but it should work. The exit button should be used in order to select the good preset.

I am afraid there is no other way.

It occurred to me what I was doing wrong: In order to see the AST codes in the Beo5/Beo6 emulator, you must first select a video source in the emulator.

The IR command for AST is: 0:000:TV:PANEL_OFF

The IR command for the subsequent Preset 1 is:

0:000:TV:SOUND

0:000:TV:FUNCTION_1

After a time-out moment, the emulator then shows again: 0:000:TV:PANEL_OFF

The other presets use the corresponding FUNCTION_2, FUNCTION_3, etc.

The Cinema preset uses FUNCTION_7

Could you please explain or translate this in mlgw commands ?

There are function commands in the list of commands available but I don't know when it can be used

I'm not sure about the MLGW commands, but I just thought I'd share with you the emulation capture of what the B&O IR commands are. For example: SOUND or FUNCTION_1 -- which can be found on the B&O remote controls. At least this lets you know what the IR commands are that the Beo6 uses to send controls for the AST. You might want to take a look at the BeoLink Gateway Protocol Specification that can be downloaded under the Home Integration section of the Bang & Olufsen website.

I had an idea how I can use these precious information, I just needed a confirmation from you.

I will make some tests and let you know if it works for me.

Thanks again
