Anyone know if there are new Beovision 40"~46" TV in 2015?

That would be really good if there was any news, i would definitely hold fire on buying a new tv if there was any info about new ones on the horizon.

bv11 and avant is out of my price range and the v1 still doesn't appeal to me in the looks department although i have got used to it a little.

then there's the size ideally 46" and up is where i would like to be.

I think the focus is going to be on larger panels from now on for a while.

The trend towards large panels is taking hold.

I must admit I'm one of the 'trenders'.

I have several televisions here and 5 are 46" or bigger.

I think it's just the way of the future for b&o.

They'll likely continue the beoplay v1 panels at 40 but I believe smaller than 40 is over.

Better start liking the avant!

Surely, there's a market for smaller screen TVs? Say 40" and under? It's quite sad, as people have grown fatter & obese, the car has grown in size and now the TV matches too :(

Fortunately, the increasing real estate prices limit the grow of TV's, which can not be larger that the walls...

I agree. At least it would be nice to have an offering of smaller, link room tv models. For example, for the kitchen and bathrooms. A B&O tv designed for such humid environments would be great.

Well I'm one of those, but as I know an anorexic who got an even bigger to than me, I'm not sure I can blame the Beovision.

A cool small new Beoplay TV would be great. If you like the V1 then I'm happy for you, but everyone I know who has seen it simply laughed.

I've been walking around a local tech superstore today, and I have to say how surprised how good some of the mainstream makes have got. There has been a massive development of UHD tech even over the last 6 months.

The availability and selection of decent sound bars etc has expanded as well, and surely it won't be long before say LG knock out a great TV with great sound. The Sony tvs are already there in some cases.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I just couldn't agree more. The apartment in the city is getting smaller. If B&O come up with a smaller 40" TV, it certainly will fit into my study room.

You can count me in on wanting 'smaller BV's' too.

I love my V1-32" - it has just the right size for that (small) room.

perhaps you just mix with the older traditional folk , as everybody who sees how our V1 fits into a domestic environment then sees and hears it is very complimentary indeed. We didn't want a piano black chintzy thing to dominate our room . If we did we'd be straight down to Dixons

Do you have any cables other than the mounting cables?  Ours is wall- mounted and whilst I miss the motor from the old MX I really love how it fits into the decor.

He who laughs about a V1, I let laugh. No problem there!

He hasn't lived with that tv, and knows nothing about how it performs.

P.S. I surely respect, if people want another design. But laughing....that is ridiculous.

After all a small B&O tv doesn't nesessarily have to look like the V1.

So come on B&O - let the designers play. I am sure they could come up with something good.

I have the power cable, ir cable to satellite box, and HDMI. However they are not noticeable. TV hangs in the corner of the room so it is not seen from the side. Cables come out back of TV enclosed in a tube painted same color as walls and go straight back to wall. If down low and look up at TV they can be seen. Sitting or standing in room no cables are visible at all, except for the cables the TV hangs from.

Recently I spotted a very clean lined white 32" - I believe it was a Sony - and almost bought it simply because it looked so good. Would've replaced the MX4002 in the kitchen and made furniture arrangement so much easier when mounted on the wall.

However, I don't think anybody would want something that small in the living room / lounge anymore. It was fine in the SD CRT days, but not enough with today's sources. Still I don't see why B&O should decide on behalf of their customers that they don't need a TV in the kitchen or any other smaller room, link systems aside. A modernized BV/BC6 would be just ideal, it doesn't look a bit dated to me.

I believe B&O also had a share of the TV market in premium Hotels . Surely they don't want enormous sets? The reason I say this is that my first aspirational experience of a B&O TV was an MX in a Paris hotel room and later bought my first B&O television having been impressed by the motor wall bracket,  plus the performance .

That´s absolutely right. There are a lot of bv 6 22 for sale on the secondhand market coming from hotels.

I think that they use now another brand or computer displays (apple ...).

They're missing out on the equivalent of the car-rental opportunity , to get people to experience the performance of the products. Obviously , some car companies are driven to dump cars on the market but if the product is good the "demo" will work for them.

B&O has a seperate division for this:

Maybe the interested hotels are only upper-upper class - and don't need any small tv's?

I love it!! I think that is one of the best looking tvs on the market. It's different than the boring black panel or silver frame. The stand is very cool, reminds me of the LX from the 80's:

Personnally, I find its design very particular. In a kitchen or on the floor it looks not so bad.

This way to hang it on a ceiling and its floor stand really looks like it was designed for hospital.

I like the WHITE V1 on its floor stand - it reminds me of goal posts on a field were I go biking :) I also like the look of the Loewe equivalent which I think Mark Leedee has - the Loewe is better looking though. Maybe the V1 needs updating. Great sounding TV though!

Well - I have just read, that here in denmark people build bigger and bigger houses. The average new house today is 20-30 m2 bigger than 20 years ago.

And when renovating older Apartment Buildings they often make two smaller Apartments into one big.

And - as a certain person suggested - it is not because people are 'growing fatter and obese', that they want bigger tv's. They simply want to bring the Cinema experience into their home. There's not much fun watching a good movie on a 22" screen... Especially not if you have a big room and you are seated 3-4 meters (or more) from the screen.
The reason that B&O make bigger tv's is perhaps, that the customers are buying them..? (just a wild guess) Whistle

I think that very few students living in small rooms buy B&O anyway.

But - that said - it would be nice with a smaller B&O tv for the kitchen or home office.

The U.S. Is seeing bigger and bigger homes as well.

I think B & O recognize that a large quantity of panels are sold in the US market and business sense dictates the decision to make bigger and bigger panels.

I have 2 living room type areas of the same size

18 ft wide by 32 ft long.

I have a 103 projector in one which fits nicely and a bv7-55 in the other which is very small looking.

I say bigger and better!

Not sure I wholly agree with this. How can you reconcile this statement with the desire for people to watch movies on their phone and IPad.

Some people like to hear music via some cheap plastic earplugs. Or throug a 30$ docking station. Those people would never buy B&O speakers.

If some people desire to watch movies on their phone, then it's fine... But if they prefer that, then they would probably not buy a tv anyway -no matter what size... (and surely not a B&O).
Movies are not made to be viewed on a 4 or 6" screen. You can ask any director...
But it doesn't have to be either/or. Even if I have a 50" tv, then I can still watch a movie on my phone or tablet now and then...

Fact is, that those people who buy a TV set today, buys bigger screens than they did years ago. (At least here in Denmark)
I can tell you, that most flatscreens sold here in Denmark are over 40". And now - when 4K screens are introduced, people are buying even bigger.
Actually there's no need for 4K resolution under 40" (unless one is sitting right in front of the screen).
