When reassembling my turntable I found a small spring floating in the case. I searched the manual and could not find one that resembled it can anyone help?
Thanks,
Troy
That belongs on the brass screw that adjusts the vertical parallelism of the tonearm.
Lee
Perhaps that is why the arm is sitting low.
I am a proud new owner of this table and there a few things that have been done by the previous owner that need to be remedied. At least this part is there as a clue. I fear there might be parts that aren't there with no clues leading to the problem.
Lee,
Can you tell me is it the #507 or 525?
507, it goes on the screw.. unscrew it completely and thread the spring over the screw... with the widest end towards the tonearm.. It's a PITA to screw back on though.... much easier with a strong magnetic screwdriver.
Thank you,
Can you link that thread?
Thank you Sonavor,
It is likely that is the spring because the deck was off the table.

Yeah, and that spring is cone shaped which matched the one I show. The small end points up.
