Here's the first decent indepth review of the A2 I've seen. Not all good news, but with just a little modification the author days this could be the "king" of Bluetooth speakers.

Hi Chris

Great find and thanks for posting. Olive my A2 granted it's just for near listening. I'd never use it for a party just close listening.

Interesting that the cover comes off. I'm not sure how to do that and I like that there's that hidden USB port that o didn't know about.

Cheers

Thanks for posting the review.  It certainly is in-depth and very long!  Good points raised both for and against the A2.  Quite balanced and backs up what users have said here on Beoworld - both the positives and the negatives.  Interesting to see the hidden port with the cover off.  Presumably for updates?

The distortion issue seems to be only with certain types of music - possibly why I have no problems with mine as I don't listen to much with electonic drum machines!  The biggest issue does seem to be with the battery life which hopefully with newer battery technology and improvements over time could be resolved.  If B&O take note of reviews like this and with comments we send them (they do listen and respond), with a few relatively simple updates, the A2 has the potential to be a leader in the field.

Dave.

Exactly Dave, and hopefully with just a little tweaking it will get best in class reviews. Just what Beoplay has needed.Yes - thumbs up

Don't you want a retro brushed-steel and wood edition Chris ?

the A2 does appear a relative of the V1 so I'm glad you're a supporter. lol
