Hi, there!
I have had three Beocom 2 for six years, and they all started to have charging difficulty at the same time.
I bought new batteries, and replaced them.
At first, everything worked well again. But the next day, one after the other, they started to indicate (display) that they needed to be charged.
With a multimeter, I found out that the desk chargers were delivering much less voltage than the right one (5.6 V or 3.6V indicated on the battery set). The voltage delivered was less than 1 Volt.
I than measured the voltage directly from the wall charger (the part that goes directly in the power point on the wall), and found out that the correct voltage was being delivered (5.6V).
So the problem was with the CORD or with the DESK DOCK (charger).
THE QUESTIONS ARE:
1) Does anybody know what I should do? I can't find this desk dock for sale. Actually, the authorised technical assistance company wants to charge me a fortune to fix it!
2) Does anybody know how to dismantle (disassemble) the desk dock, so that I can take a look inside?
3) Has this happened to anybody else?
Thank you!

Hi there!
I know this is kind of an older post but yes, it did happen to me as well. You said in your post that you checked the Beocom 2 desk dock and the charger with a multimeter. Now I'm having a little bit of difficulty with mine and I need to know the polarity for the desk dock charging pins.Could you please help me by tell me which pin is the positive (+) with the phone facing you, the front one or the back one?
