Beolit 12 and volume control

I just got my Beolit 12 today.

When adjusting the sound from the iphone is is quite the jumps in sound level between two pushes. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

If I use the Beo4, it is much more sensitive, I can adjust the sound in smaller portions 1-1,33-1,66-2.33-2.66-3 and so on.

Is there any way to make the iphone adjust the sound in smaller portions?

You are correct, and not as far as I could find out. Keep a Beo 4 handy, or turn it into a smart phone!

How is the Airplay connection?Erm..

It has been violently used for a couple of hours. Tried it with the MacBook AirPlay, iPhone AirPlay, and airfoil from the MacBook to multiple AirPlay speakers. Haven't experienced any problems yet. I upgraded it right away through the app.

It will mainly be in the bathroom and bedroom, so will see if the connection will stay strong or if it will have drops.

I thought it was something wrong with it when I first played music through it, but it turned out to just be the shitty, horrible, stick-a-pencil-in-my-ear song from Kanye West feat. Paul "I-must-be-loosing-my-mind" McCartney.

All is good now that it is banned from my life Big Smile

That song is not that great.  

I also haven't had any issues with my BL12.

I played it on my Penta's, and I thought I had an issue with the system. Took me about 15-20 minutes of searching for errors before I understood that "Jesus" uses auto-tune..

I've had my Beolit 12 for around 2-3 years in our kitchen and it has worked really great. Awesome sound for the size, nice design and essentially no AirPlay dropouts. We also use its portability during summers and moving it into the balcony.

I think it's a shame that the new Beolit 15 will not include AirPlay support.

It's completely different inside, and the aptX Bluetooth will open it up to a much bigger market. My house is full of Apple devices, many of which connect to Airplay with no problems. My Beolit 12 never did.

The new version will include the same 360 technology as the A2, albeit in a bigger space and with more power. Should be cheaper too!

The Beolit 15 with these new features, and a far more reliable connection, will make it together with its portability a unique market leading deviceYes - thumbs up I can't think of any other device that will better it. Not one you can pick up and take to the pool anyway.

In the user manual it shows a Bluetooth button instead of the wifi button and AirPlay is not mentioned anywhere in the document. Do you know anything else?

Has anyone successfully installed a USB-Bluetooth receiver on a Beolit 12?

I tried with mine, but it didn't work. (I don't know if the unit works, it needs a 5V USB)

Looks to be just Bluetooth, and I have to say thank god for that. My A2 has never had even the slightest hiccup.

I considered buying an iPad mini just for the Beolit 12 ,which is pretty crazy but the two items charging at the same time is the only real benefit of the Airplay not functioning !

I also thought this would be an issue with the A2 but for me it's not.  On your iPod / iPhone, I still swipe up, click airplay and then select the A2 which uses BT, so for me its a non-issue.

On my iPhone 5, the A2 shows up in AirPlay sometimes, sometimes not. Many times I need to go into bt-settings to connect to it.
