Is the Moment connected to the BV11 or to its own speakers?

No, it's connected to my BV 10 thru a NL/ML converter.

What did you already do in order to try to get the sound on the V1?

That's the problem, what shall i do? When the Moment is updated, i find it a little strange if i have to log on the NL/ML converter to do some adjustments..I have the NL/ML Converter as a ML Role standing as A-Master. But should it stand as AV-Master to get things to work?

Did you look for the Moment in the menu on the V1/BV11?

Where shall i look? I did see the NL/ML Converter

Did you try the 'Join' command on the remote?

Is this something i must add?

And thank you for all your help Smile

Hiort:

I am able to play e.g Deezer on mu Moment and pick up the sound in my link speakers.

I can play the sound from my V1 on my Moment, but can not figure out how to Get the sound from Moment on my V1..

do i have to configure something on my NL/ML converter?

I think what you have to make sure is that the Moment is integrated to the V1.

Look for it under product integration in the V1. Once integrated, it will appear as a linked source in the sourcelist in V1.

(I now assume the V1 work the same way as my BV11)

I recommend that you set the NL/ML converter as AV-master.

Where do you experience the delay, that you cannot handle with the delaybox?

Strange, I have no delaybox at all.

My moment is connected to the V1 and also NL/ML conv. by the network. No sound difference or delays in sound when I listen to radio on the V1 + at the same time the sound distributed to the ML. Is your setup in a same way as my picture examples in an earlier posting?

What happens if you disconnect and remove the delaybox?

Chris - thanks!

And how about the 'improved' search function (Deezer) on the Moment - something that is very import to a lot of users.

No, my setup is in A-master as ML-Role. Maybe that will do it?..

And i notice that i no longer can adjust my volume on the Moment..Sad

I noticed that when changing the NL/ML converter crucial settings, sometimes it is best to remove mains for about 15 seconds and let it reconnect again to the network.

Had the same issue from the very, first start. The solution was, like chris wrote - a restart (pull the power cord) of the NL/ML converter after every change in the configuration. My converter is set up, as a A Master and with the same mapping like in the installation manual. If you had AV Master instead of A Master and you changed it to A Master without a restart - the converter will continue to act like a AV Master, because of the missing restart. Some times a complete factory reset of the converter helps, if you want to have a fresh start.

Still testing the new software. Happy for you guys, because of the multiroom-feature and the improved search in Deezer/Tune in. But for me -  it is still a lousy One-character-search positioned before capital A if you need to do a overall-search. Is it really to much to ask, to put a software button or a gesture on the display, that we can at least start the search without the crazy swiping to get in front of the capital A? Even if B&O decides to keep the one character-search.

If you search something in Deezer it is now convenient, but after you add a artist to your content, you have to scroll and swipe like again, because the deezer artists will be placed again between your own artists (eg. i have two Beyoncés, one frome Deezer, one from my collection) I wish that they would integrate the Deezer-search in the whole system. This would be a major improvement.

The update focused on the multiroom and some finetuning. The Moment still don't like a other DLNA-Server than twonky, all flaws (see other thread) regarding NAS are still there. I tested the Moment directly after the update with my Synology, now I am back to twonky on my macmini.

As carolpa wrote, the soundhub is processing the whole Datas from any NAS just in minutes. You can see/follow it, in the the beomusic app directly after you choosed the DLNA-Server and started the processing. Just minutes later your files become visible in the App, while the Jukebox needs additional hours, before any Track or cover will appear on the display. It's the processing in the jukebox/UI that will need some improvement, not the soundhub! The software in the tablet is the problem. Maybe the processing of genres  and Moods is a task, which is, too much to handle for the tablet.

But still happy for any improvement and happy for the guys, who can use now the Moment in a multiroom-setup.

Cheers Beroli

My dealer tells me that these updates are only the beginning. There will be continuous development of the software. One thing that will come is the possibility to select directly from the Moment on what devices the music shall play. I assume that involves NL products only.

Hi team

What will be the difference between me using Amaster and AVmaster?

AMaster does not allow me to connect speakers and IR to the convertor but I wonder if I can now connect my penta speakers to my moment ?

There is a small hole around the are where you connect the cables to the  NL/ML that you can push for a reset. Will not give you a factory reset though, I believe.

Hi Hiort,

there is a possibility to do a factory-reset with the small reset button on the back. Here is a explanation from the

BeoLink Converter NL/ML Installation Guide (copyright by B&O)

LED System Status

The LED on the socket panel is used to give feedback about the system status of the BeoLink Converter NL/ML.

The LED gives information about:
- Booting/System Boot, Master Link start up, network start up and product configuration. - Critical error - for instance no communication with the H8 microcomputer or an

application error.
- Normal operation/streaming.
- Normal operation/no streaming. - Flash updating peripherals.

Setup button functions & LED feedback

The setup button can be used for several functions during normal operation of the BeoLink Converter NL/ML.
- To select a function, the setup button must be pressed and held until the desired

function has been reached.
The number of times the LED flashes red is corresponding to the actual function.
When the setup button is released and the LED starts flashing red, the setup button
must be pressed once within 3 seconds to confirm the function. Some functions do not require confirmation.
The LED will change to orange to indicated that the selected function is being carried out. The LED goes off for one second, then the LED flashes green <N> times corresponding with the function number just performed and at last the LED goes off (normal operation).

Example no. 5 (factory default)
- Press and hold the setup button until the LED has flashed red 5 times.

Now confirm the function within 3 seconds by pressing the setup button once. The LED will now change to orange to indicated that the selected function is being carried out.

here is a small list, because I could not upload a screenshot from the manual.

Example no. 3 (factory default setting for Av-Master, ML VM in Option 2)

- Press and hold the setup button until the LED has flashed red 3 times. Now confirm the....

Example no. 7 (reset password, Login:admin and PW:user)

- Press and hold the setup button until the LED has flashed red 7 times. Now confirm the...

Example no. 9 (enable DHCP activated in the factory reset before - only if you messed up your IP-Adress!!! DHCP is now factory default)

- Press and hold the setup button until the LED has flashed red 9 times. Now confirm the...

I talk to my kids yesterday and they had pulled out the wall socket of the Moment, NL/ML converter because of thunder.. And now my Moment is having the yellow dot in the corner of the screen, so is it now updating all of my music again? It has been doing so for 12 hours now..

And could it be that the NL/ML Converter has got a new IP-adress so i no longer get in contact with it? If so, anyone who knows how i can "find it " again?

General thumb of rule after the update

1. NL tv - BLC - ML Audio with speakers connected: the BLC should be set to VMASTER

2. NL tv with speakers connected - BLC - ML Audio: the BLC should be set to VMASTER;

3. ML tv - BLC - NL audio (Moment);  the BLC should be set to AMASTER

4. NL tv and NL audio- BLC - Beolink ; BLC should be set to AVMASTER

I presume the Moment and the VL10 are in the same room and the speakers are connected to the BV10? Am I correct?

It seems your Kids pulled to hard on your EthernetCable (loose, broken...).That would explain all the strange behavior you have to face.

The yellow "Dot" is a triangle and means something like:

Error indications may be seen in the lower right corner of the display when the BeoSound Moment interface (Jukebox) is in entertainment mode as follows:

............ (Blinking yellow) The BeoSound Moment interface (Jukebox) is not connected to the home router/AP. Move within range of the home router/AP and make sure the home router/AP is powered On and available. Availability of the home router(AP can be tested by another wireless device. If home router/AP is available, press the symbol and follow instructions on the display.

............. (Blinking yellow) BeoSound Moment interface (Jukebox) can not find BeoSound Moment hub (SoundHeart). Make sure the BeoSound Moment hub (SoundHeart) is powered On and after a power On wait approx. 1 min.
Press the symbol and follow instructions on the display.

............. (Solid yellow) Something is wrong. Take off Socket cover. Error could be that a source is not configured or playback has failed or no content is found.

To help resolve the problem follow instructions on the display.

Just press on the dot. Usually you get an message from the Moment, about, what is wrong.

Yes, thats correct.

I have now get it connected, but still it doesn't work 100%. When my BV10 is on and i push "radio button" on Moment, nothing happens. So i need to push on the "radio button" on Beo4 remote to make the switch.

And the volume controller on the "pad" is not responding.. The numbers rise and fall, but not the sound..

Maybe something in the NL/ML converter that will make this work?

Dear Norman,

did you read my posts above? have you tried the reset. I had exactly the same issue like you, no volume control, some buttons on the remote didn´t react.

The reason is: That your converter is still reacting as AV-Master instead of A-Master. Your configuration needs A-Master!!!

All troubles went away after I did a factory reset (see above). Log-in into the converter user: admin PW: user

afterwards I changed from AV-Master to A-Master, choose your MomentSerialnumber, than map the buttons as you can see on the installation guide Page 16. Save!!!!

Restart by pulling the power cord. Start again and all your problems should be solved.

Normann,

If you start the Moment with the button in the volume ring and push a radiostation on the screen, the Moment starts and next goes to the chosen radiostation but you won't hear any sound because there is nothing in the ML-link that is also started to receive the Moments sound.

In this case, you're BV10 is part of the ML-link, so your Moment starts and plays but don't now where to send the sound.

If you pusch radio or music, or any other of the assigned buttons on the BEO4, with the remote directed to the BV10 or any other ML device, this will activate the link.

The Moment starts, + BV10 (or any other ML device) receives the command from your BEO4 and starts this chosen link, then you wll hear the radio (or any) on your BV10 or again any other ML device.

Noticed a few more tweaks that came with the new release:

- There is now an indication on the moments screen under the song title when you like a song (swiping upwards on the volume wheel)

- The Jukebox wake up faster and have a different indication in the bottom right corner, indicating that connection is being established when I pick the Jukebox up from standby.

- There is now a volume indication in the bottom right corner, when you adjust the volume. Think that was only visible before when you had the speakers connected directly.

Hi,

do you (or someone else) know how to make Beolab 3500 to work with Moment and other NL products?

One week ago I got a Moment as a replacement of a Beomanster 5, which had been for repair serverel time.

The Beolab 3500 worked fine with with BM3500, but now it is the only ML product in my system.

Beside that, I have 2 Beovision V1 and one Avant 55, and of course a NL/ML converter.

I have tried different settings on the NL/ML, but the BL3500 doesn't turn on, when using the remote.

Any good ideas on how to configure the NL/ML converter?

I have now done the reset, but still have the same problem.. The volume is not responding, and a strange thing is that in the ML source to NL source i don't have the option to set the Beosound Moment to Bluetooth!!

In order to run a ML-linkproduct in a NL-setup (including the NL/ML Controller) you will need a ML-audio-driver (e.g. an AudioMaster).

Hi there,

got my moment 2 weeks ago. Experience has been mixed but new software is a definitely a step in the right direction.

However, I don't get shuffle to work. From the manual, I understand that you shuffle playlists by tapping them twice.

Everytime I double tap a playlist, it starts playing but always with the first song and just plays them in order of the playlist.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue or are you able to use the shuffle function?

Thanks

Stefan
