Sp far I use my Moment as a stand-alone product connected only wirelessly to BL18's, and using Deezer/Tunein as my sources.
I keep seeing comments re. improved search function for Deezer - I think I'm missing something here, as I don't see any search function, improved or otherwise.
Could someone explain please?...
Have you done the upgrade for the Moment?
"Believe nothing you read and only half of what you see, let your ears tell you the truth."
If you done the update, double tap on music genre in the Deezer (discover) screen. You will get an advanced search screen.

To understand it, does this mean that the you cannot run a BL3500 with the Moment without another Beomaster? Or what else can you use as Audiomaster?
I though , and was told, that the NL/ML converter could do the job.

In your setup you'll need additionally a Beolink T1611 (discontinued product) or an Almando Masterplay box, until B&o will come with their own new solution (they are working on this)

OK, thanks, even though it was not what I wanted to hear.
Do you have any time frame on this new solution? And is it just a software solution - like an update or does it involve new hardware?
The 1611, I once had such one, think I sold it. How does that help, I understand that it is Power link to Master link converter?
TIP if you are using your own music collection
Add to all track the Artist as well as the ALBUMARTIST. The Moment (and the BeoMusic app) work better.
Today ripped a new cd and I did forget to add the albumartist in the tag.
After an update of the tags with the albumartist the new Album was added to the music collection almost immediately. Where until then the album didn't pop up.

Hi Chris,
I had done the update but didn't realise the 'Deezer Search' facility was there... Thank you for pointing this out to me.
I think this is a great addition - it looks like the Moment is beginning to come into it's own at last.
volvoxc: The 1611, I once had such one, think I sold it. How does that help, I understand that it is Power link to Master link converter?
It provides power into the Masterlink system. I bought one used, and just plugged the Masterlink socket into it. It did the trick.

The 1611 is a 'bridge' between the old MCL-based systems and the newer ML-based systems.
It connects the A-Aux (and the PL) of an older audiomaster to the ML-chain.
It can act as a MasterLink driver, if there is none in the setup - depending on how it is setup.
They are now relatively cheap on the second hand market.
But - maybe the coming 'black box' has some advantages, that we don't know of yet.
There is a tv - and there is a BV
lonfred:That was said. Hopefully there will be a timerfunction in future SW updates. The old ML timerfunction is one part that do the BO system special. I was in act to order one Moment and one BLC but I will wait until the timer function is there since I use several timer event today from my old BC2.
thanks lonfred I didn't know this feature existed.
sheaven: Hi there, got my moment 2 weeks ago. Experience has been mixed but new software is a definitely a step in the right direction. However, I don't get shuffle to work. From the manual, I understand that you shuffle playlists by tapping them twice. Everytime I double tap a playlist, it starts playing but always with the first song and just plays them in order of the playlist. Is anyone experiencing the same issue or are you able to use the shuffle function? Thanks Stefan

Anyone with similar issues regarding shuffle or am I the only one?
B&O offered us today a new update . Now on SW 1.3.7.1046 - 1.3.304.220202038
Not much information about it on my Moments screen:
- Some new functions to search on Deezer & TuneIn.
- Open 'Radio' or 'Discover' and push a second time on the button.
- Multiroom changes again. (Beolink?)
Hopefully Roger don't mind I also list his information on today's update:
Jukebox and SoundHeart loosing the connection.Music stops playing after a whileSeveral attempts required to update the swUnable to submit error logNo Deezer images in search resultsVolume control lagsFast forward skipsAlbum art "moving" / vibratesAlu and wood wheel not respondingEmpty TuneIn folder shown under Radio"Connecting..." shown on tv when starting Deezer from TVNot all albums from a NAS device shown under ArtistBluetooth improvedSpecial characters not shown correctly in Jukebox
Nothing about the nas?
koning: Nothing about the nas?
Nothing about a bettered search function on the DLNA. Search function on it still with only one letter to find a artist.
beoewok:Speed: We have been improving the speed of the product, for example the start-up time to play music from stand-by, and the “Radio” tab loads faster. We will continue these speed-related improvements. The notification area is improved: The yellow triangle, which notifies the customer about elements that need attention, is now improved so that it provides more information and a wizard screen with more customer friendly information for what to do.
Agreed. At least the transition between the three main screens seem snappier.
I received a mail from beocare today. It went like this (excerpt): "I am pleased to inform you that we will release software version 1.3 for BeoSound Moment which will solve the issue regarding tracks from a playlist being placed first in the album track list."
The problem I described to them in early July went like this: "1. This might be a bug: If I add a playlist on Deezer to my own collection, the artist and albums containing the songs included are added to my album collection on my Beosound Moment. One album might then contain only one song, the one included in the playlist. So far so good. If, however, I decide to add the rest of the album to my collection as well afterwards, by favouriting the entire album on Deezer, the order of the tracks on the album gets mixed up on my Moment. The tracks which was there from before, from the playlist, is listed first, and the other tracks follow in their internally correct order. This can be quite annoying. If I want to listen to an album I normally want to listen to it in the correct order, which then might be difficult on the Moment."
So... Another bug squished, it seems. I submitted another mail with several bugs just two days ago. Hopefully they will be squished in the next update, then. :-)
My first post, btw. I have been reading the forum for a while, but decided to join right now.

Welcome to the forum hsorlie
Also swiping between artist on the jukebox is much more fluid.
Hi
yesterday B&O rolled out a new update for the BS-Moment. Usually it is a sign of improvement and I was really looking forward.
First impression. Everything feels smoother and quicker. Yeah! Great! - my mind shouted - but a while later I got a very cold shower.
Most of my Playlists are now missing on the BS Moment? I have about 68 Playlists (Genres like Alternative...Blues, Rock, Classical... to Unplugged) on the Twonky-Server - now on the BS-Moment (after the update) - I am down to 13 Playlists. I tried several restarts (BS-Moment, Soundheart, Jukebox, Mac, Twonky-Server), I refreshed the Twonky-Server. Used my Paper-clip several times. Summary: nothing worked - 68 Playlists are still on the Twonky-Server - Every DLNA-Mediaplayer can access/play every Playlist from this Server - but the Moment shows only 13 of 68 Playlists.
I could punch something/someone. I am not amused anymore.
B&O wrote, that they did something with the playlists in this update. I was hoping they fixed the issue with the wrong order of the music-tracks. But no - they didn´t! They arranged the common Playlists, like "Highly Rated" "Most/Last Played" ... into the alphabetical order and erased most of the Twonky-Server-playlists from the BS-Moment in the process.
What I can´t fathom is the fact, that B&O can make it worse. Is anybody testing the updates in advance? Now - I am forced to do a complete Database-refresh. I will lose my pattern play and I have to start again. Tomorrow - because it needs more than a Day to process the Twonky-Server.
At least - now you can submit a error log to B&O, without crashing the device. Maybe B&O should implement a "ask for refund" - button.
With deepest regrets Beroli
Update: after refreshing the Database I am down to 0 (zero) playlists. Twonky-Server is still running and is streaming all Playlists correctly to other mediaplayer but the BS Moment. Now I had to perform a factory reset.

Thats too bad. I don't use playlists other than the once I create in Deezer, so I have not experienced the flaw that you ran into.
Have you reported your problem to B&O?
I think i will keep my beosound5๐
Beroli:yesterday B&O rolled out a new update for the BS-Moment. Usually it is a sign of improvement and I was really looking forward.
I mentioned a while ago that I was using Twonky 8.0.3 on the Yosemite version in the Mac mini. After the Apple Yosemite 10.10.4 update my Twonky server 7.2.7 was losing connection to the Moment after about 7 days.
With the B&O update from yesterday, I took the opportunity to update also Yosemite to 10.10.5 and updated also to the latest Twonky version 8.1.2 before I started the Moment. I did give the Twonky server a new name in the network, so I had to point to the new servername in the Moment.
After the process of adding my music again in the Moment, all my playlists are showing and I can now see a picture of the artist also faded in the background. The server has now an uptime of 1 day 7 hours and so far no problemo...

Hi Hiort, hi Chris,
I reported the issue to BeoCare and to my Dealer. He was surprised as well. My Dealer got the answer "We don´t know about any issues, regarding the last update". Twonky and Mac OSX were on the latest available Software-Version, before the BS-Moment update.
This is crazy, I made screenshots and photos after the update. I have 10 pictures showing all Playlists on Twonky, on 8player (iOS-DLNA-Player), on my Mac and some screenshots from the BeoMusic App without any Playlists . All screenshots are made in the same minute. And yes i followed my own advices, complete restarts, Pin-resets, refreshing the database...
Now I am in the waiting period until the processing after the first setup (after a factory reset) is done. There are several configuration possibilities in the settings of the Twonky-Server as well (under "sharing/media receivers" and under "setup/navigation tree"), but B&O is not even able to give some settings advices to the customers.
Cheers from a very frustrated B&O customer. Beroli

You say that you are on the lastest Twonky version? Could it be that B&O tested the update on the recommended Twonky version?

Could be, but it "worked" before the update and 8.1.2 is a official release since 19.08.2015 - not a beta- Version.
and since the automatic update is "On" by default, B&O should test the update with the latest version of Twonky before the push it in the BeoPortal. Just my opinion.
Looking forward to tomorrow to see, if the factory reset changed anything.
cheers Beroli
