The way I see it, then B&O lack a stand for high TV-tables.

The current choices are either the low backwards tilted stand and the upright high stand. Both of which aren't ideal for a high TV-table (50-60cm) as you will watch the picture from below. The high stand will also force you to look up all the time, which at least for me becomes quite uncomfortable when watching a movie.

This is of cause only a problem if the color reproduction is changed when watched from below, which will surprise me if it isn't the case.

So I fear that in order to get the best of the TV, I need to replace my furniture, which to be honest feels a bit wrong :(

I see the problem for B&O, as the tilt on the low stand is needed for stability. But I really don't want to compromise the picture.

I have the same issue.  In my bedroom, I have a chest of drawers that are 80 cm high.  I wouldn't want to go higher than the floor stand but it leans backward.  The floor stand is 69 high which is the height of the tv.

I may have to look at the suspension cables, but i'm not sure how long i'll like that for.

The suspension cables seem fine and all, but am I the only one wondering how to conceal the power cable, possible connected devised etc.?

Seeing the B&O commercials the TV must be powered by some kind of magic, as no power cables are visible :)

B&O problem here is that the speaker below the TV doesn't allow for a conventional stand for the TV. This just wouldn’t fit the TV at all. And I'm pretty sure the angle of the TV when using the low stand is well thought out, as it is a compromise of stability risk. A fully upright TV would be in a serious risk of tipping forward, and we don't want that.

It's funny how one of the most versatile TV's when it comes to placement, also seem to be the most limited Confused

I have my TV on a wall mount in my bedroom and that works very well.

I think the screen panel is of a IPS type and its colur uniformity is very good. I can look at it from many angles without seeing colours distort.

I was first thinking about the hanging mount but it is very very complicated to setup and requieres a very flat and strong roof. It is also very permanent and not very flexible. I think the wall mount is the most perfect mount for it.

There were a couple of suggestions from PhilLondon and myself in THIS  THREAD.

Ban boring signatures!

I plan to place the V1 in front of a large row of windows, so the wall mount is sadly not an option for me.

Have thought of spinning the living room 180 degree so the sofa faces the windows instead. But again this means rearranging my living room to acommodate a TV. I like the 180 degree rotation on the wall mount though :)

But your feedback on the viewing angles is promising. Still waiting on the first real comprehensive review to pull the trigger :)

I actually just stompled across that thread and post. I still think it would have been cool if they managed to implement the TV signal and power cord in the wires somehow. It should be possible, its just a matter of thicker cables. That would be really impressive :)

In my previous residence I used a vertical plasterboard panel set just 20mm in front of the original wall and fixed with battens with extra battens for the TV mount area.

All cables (power, aerial scart etc etc) were hidden behind the panel. The panel was decorated the same as the rest of the wall although it would have been easy to make a feature of it with different paint or wallpaper.

When I purchased a BC2 with wall mount I was infuriated to find that the multi-core cable feeding the head unit had to be fixed visibly outside the mount although this was conveniently missed from all the B&O publicity photographs. I managed to do a neat job with it in the end, feeding the cable below an adjacent window cill. There's a lot to be said for the floor mounts where available for certain units. The BC1 television looks stunning on the vertical pole mount that hides all the cables (except for the very last bit where it all feeds into the rear of the TV via a sock.)

Its a question of option programming your stereo and tv. Can be done with dealer over the phone.

Thanks Scotty, I have already programmed my V1 like that to VOPT 1 and it works very well. I didn't think it would work with master link setup commands but it did :)

Strange that it is not covered in the manual. I think more people than me have both v1 and a beosound.
