I get no response when the lift button is pressed. what's the prognosis without dismantling?

Or the motor has seized solid in its bearings due to dried lubricants.

Thanks Soren I will get it out of the original carton where it has been in storage for some years and revisit the problem. Upon reading the forum could be that the motor oil is gummed up- it happened once before but in the reverse, that the oil was not viscous enough and ran away from the bearings was the feedback I got from the B&O distributor here in Melbourne. Will continue the thread when I have taken the plunge. Cheers Nev
