That's nice to see the added support for Nest. Sadly, I doubt there will be any legacy driver provided for the MLGW. However, after having Nest for a year and a half, I find that by now I very rarely need to adjust the thermostat. Nest does a great job of learning your preferences. I wonder if the driver will utilize the Nest and Nest Protect occupancy/vacancy sensors to use as macro triggers.
Morning
i will attempt yo update today
i have two nest protects so it will be interesting to see if they can connect.
it does say nest is not a live interface.

Morning again.
My software update completed fine.
Took around 5 minuets and it felt like a lifetime.
More options are available in the setup page. i cannot see any change to channel selection.
Nest only appears to be the thermostat not the smoke alarms.
For me, it gets stuck at "Preparing to Download..." :-(
Ah... I just had to reboot the BLGW, and it's now downloading fine...
It's installed... but I do not seem to be able to pick macros in the left column on the Macro screen...
It's all ok for me now...
PhilLondon: BeoLink Driver: Added channel selection command to simplify the selection of channels from BeoLink app. Change MasterLink reconfiguration to be performed only when booting from power failure Added the following new drivers: Nest driver (without realtime status) Smarthouse/Bticino SH2 driver GlobalCache, drivers for the following global cache systems IP2IR IP2CC/WF2CC IP2SL/WF2SL
Hi there
these all look pretty good.
Nest drive is for thermostat only
Smarthouse stuff looks pretty good but i am not sure if it is dealer install only.
the Global Cache stuff looks to give IR, Serial and relay control from the gateway over ethernet.
This might be great for blinds, screens etc.
I updated to the latest version of the BLGW software yesterday and am really starting to regret it. Pretty much everything has stopped working.
First issue, the fixed IP address I have selected was lost, the BLGW started using a DHCP assigned address, luckily I have seen this issue before and managed to get the leased address from the DHCP server so could connect to the gateway and change the IP address back to the fixed one.
Next issues more serious:
I have programmed the gateway to control Rako lighting using a RS232 bi-directional interface, the inbound commands from this interface are no longer recognized. Thus all macros I have configured to read wall plate button presses no longer work. When Capturing events all button presses appear to be sending the same string which means the gateway cannot distinguish between rooms and scenes, brilliant!
In addition to this, I also had Beo6 light commands set-up to work the Rako scenes in each room. The macros no longer responds to the remote control, so can only be triggered by the IPhone App, looks like the events need to be recaptured for all zones.
Finally, I have Somfy blinds working via a Raspberry Pi, which acts as a bridge to the RFX433E controller (which worked great). The BLGW talked to the Pi using IP connection, this now seems to be unable to connect. Again looks like the set-up needs to be redone from scratch. It has also locked up one of the RS232 ports, which I had earlier tried to use for Somfy direct and failed. But now cannot be reassigned to another product.
Final issue is remote access to the BLGW. This I had achieved using NAT port forwarding on my router. Now the iPhone app cannot connect to the BLGW and when it finally does there are no zones available. This is really annoying as I don't see the need to use the new remote access functions, its just not required.
So probably going to factory reset it this weekend and start rebuilding from scratch and hope it works a second time, if not anyone know if it is possible to downgrade the firmware to the previous version.
Really not happy with this software release, it really seems to have a number of new features which is great but was there no regression testing done. Feeling very let down by B&O at the moment.
Hi Everyone,
Wanted to post a follow up regarding the issues seen previously with the upgrade of the BLGW software. Over the weekend, I had a clear out of macros which were little used meaning that the set-up is now far simpler.
Some tips to note, for the custom strings defined for Rako and Somfy, I modified the parameters, saved it and then changed it back to the original settings, this did the trick and the gateway now correctly reads input commands from Rako and can connect to the Somfy controller again.
I noticed that commands which had been captured from NetworkLink and MasterLink products needed to be recaptured or manually entered - this was the most time consuming but once these were captured the existing macros worked correctly.
The one thing that still doesn't work however, is remote access using NAT port forwarding. After deleting the fixed gateway from the iPhone app and re-adding it still fails to find the gateway, locally on the Wi-Fi it works fine. Will see what BeoCare have to say about that.
Hello,
any news about the NAT port forwarding issue?
If it is really the case, that a Khimo account is needed for remote access, that would be very annoying, because it always worked with the MLGW. Which would mean less functionality with the new gateway.
Unfortunately it is not possible for “home owner” to get an account at Khimo, at this point in time.
Any suggestions are welcome.

mjmedlo:I have a khimo account as a homeowner. Just sign up for it on the settings screen
Seanie_230:Hi there How have you done this I went it to settings and it diverts to the Khimo website but only installers can have an account Cheers BLGW - Rekindling the love of ML
Hi,
thanks for your answers. Yesterday I tried to register at Khimo.com and yes, it worked. I filled out the "installer" form a got a prompt Invitation from the Khimo portal. Interestingly it is a subscription to a trial period (I don’t know how long the trial period is), but one can subscribe for one year at $ 119, which is pretty much for remote access to my gateway. One must say, that the Intention of the portal is not only gaining or granting remote access to home users, but more to give installers the ability to orchestrate a variety of customer gateways in one Portal, which might be worth the money.
I will give Stevens method a try today - if it works, that should do the Job.(http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/17435.aspx)
