Hi, I need some help.

I recently inherited a Beolab 5000 and a CDX compact disk player.

The left hinge on the cdx lid has broken and shows some signs of a previous repair.

I've seen and understand the hinge repair in the archive and have downloaded the service manual, but for the life of me I can't see how I would get the hinge out to repair it and the put it back.

I'm determined that it will be put to use with the amplifier and would appreciate any advice, or at a last resort if there is anyone who repairs these cd players?

I've attached some pictures with comments on them.

The pin is fixed, it is pressure set. You have to remove the whole left mechanism - easy enough.

Good Afternoon,

There is an article within the Archive forum that shows how to do this.

It works a treat and is quite easy to  do.

Julian
