A standalone speaker like the A9, or a subwoofer?

Purely a speaker ? ie wired like the S8 satellites ?

Or like the A2, BeoLit 15, and A9 ... independently accessible with wireless / bluetooth.

Check page 32 and 33 for some sketchy pictures of the testing. Bluetooth 4.0 connection and a battery I guess. Smaller and more portable than BeoLit 15 it seems. I guess cheaper too?

@1990

The link does not work.

The 3 indicates a (relatively) cheap product.

I suppose that the A2 price increase (399 €) is to prepare for the launch of the S3 (below 399 ?).

Would be interesting to learn about the difference in using the 'S' instead of an 'A' for this product.

Might be that in Beoplay range letters mean:

H - headphones

A - audio

V - video, and

S - surround

:)

...or perhaps: S - subwoofer :)

Well - the S8 set is stereo, not surround.

I hope it is something similar to the Sonos Play 1 or Play 3, that works wireless with the Moment and / or other B&O equipment. In that case, I would buy 4-5 of those small speakers right away...

We see the style of Jakob Wagner's design. Smile

thats the wonder of social media! Nothing's a surprise anymore everyone wanting the "INFO" ASAP when Bang & Olufsen launch a product it should be a surprise as was intended. It just plain infuriates me when someone has to blow it open before launch... . Shame on this site for allowing it to be posted. My opinion and I'm sure most will disagree but that's how I feel .

It's a Chinese made Beoplay speaker, not the cure for cancer.

Beoworld is not quite Wikileaks, but I'll check my car mirror for that blacked out Audi a lot more often in future.

Haha you are so right Chris :)

Maybe we should disconnect the Internet and hide under the stairs until it appears in the shops. Anyway Maurice don't worry, there'll be a new model to replace it next year ;) ;) ;) ;) that'll be the MKII with Bluetooth that works without dropouts :)

Moderators have been known to remove postings or threads disclosing new products before any official launch in the past.

However, I guess these pictures are legitimately published so will stay...................?

Do you mean the pictures in the sound chamber?

But thats the sound-engineers boiled pudding in shot ?

its got to be a decoy. Unless there's an update which has been removed by a moderator?

A bit bigger than the BL3 (without the lens part) and costs approx the same as the A2, then.

In Hong Kong, if you join the plan of mobile service, you will get the Beoplay S3 for free.  (first 100 quotes)

It seems a mono speaker Unsure

I wonder what inspired them to make another Bluetooth speaker? A multi room device maybe?

Looks nice, but unfortunately i I don't need one.
