I heard somewhere that the Avant would be extended to support the Beo Music app.

Any idea when this will be available?

That will be part of the expected 'multiroom update'.

At the moment it is not quite sure, when this will be rolled out - probably in august?

Watch out for the message on the Avant screen and/or read what will be discussed on Beoworld.

This functionality is already included in the TV software for some time now.

I think that only the BeoMusic app needs an update to make this working with the TVs.

Not to confuse with the general Homemedia source. One part of the BeoMusic "server backend" was silently included with a SW update some time ago.

Otherweise we would not be able to 'share speakers' between two connected NL-BV's - as we already can.

So multiroom is already there - it is just the question: which products support it, and how to control it (from the BeoMusic app).

We will soon be wiser.

... Hold on MM.

I'm now confused.

When i install the BeoMusic app on my phone it says that it cannot find a product.

I have the Avant and no other device.

How do i get to use it?

Thanks :-)

So maybe the new speaker is a link speaker!

The BeoMusic <-> TV function wasn't released yet and is only a rumor at the moment.

This never came to be right? BeoMusic still doesn't work with the TVs

Startet playing from the Essence, then 'joined in' using the BeoMusic app - the V1 turned on from standby.

'Joining out' of the V1 with the app turns the tv off again.

But maybe you are expecting, that the sources of the tv should be visible (and manageable) in the app as well?

Which sources would you expect to appear there, then?

Can you share TV sound (football game, Tv show...) on another NL multiroom product? So if you're in another room and you can't watch it at the moment you can at least listen to TV's audio?

Thanks for the confirmation.

That means I can put my A9 below the TV and use it as a powerful centre speaker. <3 That is really cool, and unique to B&O.

Yes

For example my avant is on and when I tap the a9 it joins the "ongoing sound experience"

The TV obviously in this scenario is an NL product and so is the a9

The a9 also has line in

Will probably be hard to find the right balance between the speakers of the tv and the A9.

But will be possible to use it so, yes.

P.S. The A9 will never be able to act like a 'center speaker', since it (after all) is a stereo speaker.

are you guys sure this will work? I doubt it and it doesn't work if you try to do this via an A9.

I would anticipate that the video/audio or the audio/audio goes out of sync?

That depends on the connection.

If you hardwire, it should be ok.

But it would be much easier to use the Line-in of the A9 (from a PL-out of rhe tv), create a Speaker Group including or exclusively the A9 and use that.

I thought the issue is not only the wire, but decoding. for the described purpose, even a delay of 1/20 of a second would be hearable.

the avant will output to the speakers, which happens instantly (and in sync). if you broadcast to an A9 via NL, I'd assume that it can technically not be in sync.

with line-in, it would obviously work, but don't know whether the avant can output to line-in and PL in parallel?

Of course - you can make your Speaker Groups as you please.

In that case you would have to control the volume of the A9 manually and seperately.

Honestly - personally I would not think of combining both --- it is too much fuss...

...and B&O is about avoiding fuss and keep things simple.
