Hello,

I have a Beovision 11 and a Beolink NL/ML. A BeoLink passive is connected to the Beolink NL/ML. I want to listen to the Spotify sound through the BeoLink passive. Spotify is connected to the CD input in the Beovision 11. How to configure the Beolink NL/ML because I am not able to setup my equipement?

However, I am able to listen to the sound of my AppleTV(DTV2) but not Spotify.

Any idea?

Thanks

Didier

Due to licensing restrictions B&O is not allowed to distribute the Spotify source digitally. (BV11 <-> NL/ML Converter is a digital connection)
So what you want to do is not possible.

Take one of the PL outputs from the TV to the line in of the NL/ML converter if the TV is on you will be able to hear the sound elsewhere, but not in sync.

Other possibilies:

1: Connect a Playmaker or a BS Essence to the line-in of the converter.

Playmaker - airplay Spotify ------ Essence - use built-in Spotify Connect.

2: Connect a 'Gramofon' to the line-in of the converter.

This way you will be able to use Spotify/Spotify Connect everywhere on your (B&O) network.

For the device/Gramofon search the web and/or see my thread 'Got me a new Gramofon' here:

Correct. All about licensing and digital distribution.

I use AirPlay in to a bs5 and distribute over the network.

That's why I guess Spotify Connect will be sorted out on Besound Essence 2nd gen. B&O will only use Deezer because of allowed digital sound distribution. I hope for B&O Deezer will survive because Spotify is already very strong and Apple Music will also be very successful.

Not according to what I have heard!

You will be able to distribute Spotify Connect, BUT only to other devices on the NL-network, that supports Spotify Connect (e.g. from an Essence (2) to an A9 (2)). But only as 'partymode - not two different streams at the same time in the network.

Thanks MM, that would be reasonable.
