Hi

I am using a Beolink Active and amp to  control my apple tv and feed sound to the speakers - problem i have is that A.Setup only appears if I select DVD - I cant seem to have it come up on the Beo4 if I have selected a video source - does anyone know how to configure the beo 4 so that it appears in both audio and video mode?

I just tried on three of my Beo4's (two of them with navi and with two different sw-versions).

it was not possible!

What are you trying to achieve?

Do you just want to adjust the startup sound level, bass etc once - or do you want to have access to adjust e.g bass, while you are listening?

Hi - it was so that I can have access to the bass and treble whilst listening on V.Mem - which controls the Apple TV - I cna switch from V.Mem to an audio source and change it but it would just be neater if it could be done in V.Mem

Hi Andrew,

with my several Beo4 A.SETUP appears under LIST if an audio source is selected. If I select a video source (e.g. VMEM) V.SETUP appears instead. And under V.SETUP I can adjust the same (BASS, TREBLE, LOUDNESS) and store the settings with S.STORE.

Hi Rauber

Thanks - I will try that tonight - fingers crossed - I read somewhere that you can move commands and customise the Beo4 - will definetely give that a go later.

Thanks again

Hi -had a look at the online manual but that didn't have what I wanted - I found the config guide for Beo 4 which gives what list functions are available against different sources and configuration for the various products. Anyway, seems A.Setup is not available under any of the Video Options - however V.Setup does give me access to bass and treble so all good. However I cannot see how to use the move function - but at least it's now doing what I want - thanks Rauber for pointing me in the right direction.

Move extra ‘buttons’

You can rearrange the order in which the extra ‘buttons’ appear when you press LIST.

  • >  Press and hold the standby button down.

  • >  Press LIST to get access to the Beo4 setup

    function.

  • >  Let go of both buttons. ADD? appears in the

    display.

  • >  Press LIST repeatedly to display MOVE? on

    Beo4.

  • >  Press GO to bring up the list of extra ‘buttons’.

The first ‘button’ appears in the display.

  • >  Press or to move forwards or backwards

in the list of extra ’buttons’.

  • >  Press GO to move and place the displayed

‘button’ as the first in the list, or ...

  • >  ... press 1 – 9 to move the ‘button’ to a specific

    position in the list.

  • >  MOVED appears, indicating that the ‘button’

has been moved. You leave the Beo4 setup function automatically.

Older Beo4 versions (possibly pre-DVD button) don't have the MOVE function. If you have one of those and really need to have the entries in a certain order, you will first need to delete everything from the list and then add them again. At least I believe that changes the order - I never bothered to try in practice Big Smile

Correct!

But the op stated, that he has one with the DVD button - otherweise he wouldn't be able to choose DVD.

That said - I am not sure, when the Move function actually was added.
