Hey everybody,
I have a bc5 with beoline2 and apparently it's possible to use as an IP phone. The manual doesn't state anything to activatenthis feature.
Can anyone point me in the right direction how do I set this up, do I need some kind of subscription (I live in Belgium).
Many thanks,
Flx
This IP thing is just a marketing "lie".
The Beocom 5 can handle 2 lines, which is great, but that's it. It does not handle IP connectivity itself.
However, if your internet router can handle VoIP and has a telephone socket on it, you can then connect this to the line 2 of your phone.
Beoworld app with direct photo upload and emoticons.
Software issues aside, the bc5 would have been some phone if it had been able to handle pstn and voip at the same time.

Thanks for the tip Heribert, I will try it. So one Line1 is the classic analog line and the other is the Voip line?
And how this works in real life, you press first L2 to select the Voip-line and the you dial the a number out the memory list.
Does that mean you need to store a number twice (stupid question?) or cannyou pre- program it so a number is by default a voip number?
The BC5 is as much a VoIP phone as the BC6000 or any other classic analogue phone... In other words.. it has nothing to do with IP and B&O's marketing spinned a huge fuzz around it.
You'll need an ATA (analogue telephone adapter) OR a router with voip capabilities / analogue line connection. Without that it's impossible to give the BC5 IP capabilities.
I use my BC6000's with a voipbox and it works just as good. And I like BC6000 much much more anyway :)
