Hi.

Can anyone tell me if they have connected a BS Moment thru a BLC, to another ML product, that you can choose "link" on the soundheart on Moment?

Ok.?? I have problem to make it work with the Beomusic App.. The linked rooms are shown, but nothing happens when i push the buttons.. But i can push "join" on my Beo4 remote and bring the music.. But again, that is not how it should work.

mjmedio: Can you port around to other "ML room/products" also, or just to the NL products.?

I believe the only way to do this is a separate ML/NL converter for every legacy product.

I've chosen to use 'join' on the ML products (or associate a command).

I also use the gateway for this.

I would suggest a power cycle of the ML/NL converter and delete then reinstall the app.

sometimes i've found that the app doesn't refresh as often as I'd like and will look for things

on the network that are no longer there.

Hmmmm

In my finally working setup (and Thank You! For Your advice) I find I can not shut down the N-RADIO on the BeoSound 4 ... Not on the BeoSound4 ... Not on the App ... Not on the Beo4 ... Not on my Essence

And changing sources has no effect

Does this mean I need a second BLC ?

Hopefully BO soon do a programing connection between the Beolinkgateway-Moment-Beolink app or Beomusic app so that its possible to get full Multirooms controll of the ML products without 20 different BLC in the house.

I don't hunk I understand?

If you select all standby it won't turn off?

You may have one of the NL products selecting N.Music on button press?

Correct ... None of the standbys work

And yes, N.Radio is linked to TuneIn, and N.Music is linked to Music which I believe is related whatever music stream was playing last e.g. AirPlay

I was about to show my configuration settings and I spotted an anomaly

(as an aside I find you have to triple check that changes on BLC menu don't undo settings on an earlier menu)

So I set out to rectify that ... and in the process did a factory reset by accident *sigh*

Now I have to rebuild the configuration .... *SIGH*

Music may be the problem. Remove that and see what what happens.

Would you recomend me to buy a beolink converter to get fully functional ML/NL system?

Do you currently have one beolink converter in place?

it is on your network that then gets distributed out to the legacy products correct?

so the NL goes in to the converter, then the ML goes from the converter to the legacy products?

if that's the set up. . then you should have local control. . i.e. you should be able to use the remotes

I have not hook my BLC directly to any one particular legacy product.  I'm inclined to think it will NOT turn on your beosound 4.  It might operate the link speakers though.

Honestly, I don't know.

If you decide to connect the BLC masterlink only to one legacy product please report back.  I'd love to know the results.

Thanks

Partially for @mjmedlow to answer his suggestions and assistance and partially for @Normann and his questions ...

I had found that what I had thought was a successful configuration was not - the clue was that my BeoSound 4 refused to go to standby without me pulling the power at the wall.

I looked at the BLC's configuration and found that both the primary NL device and the secondary NL device were set to the being the BLC in both situations i.e. the Essence's position had been lost. I think this was caused by me setting options in subsequent menus that reset the first menu and me not checking after saving and after rebooting.

Anyway I did reconfigure after my accidental factory reset and clearly defined the Essence as the primary.

Now I am able to stop and start the BeoSound 4 e.g. A-MEM on the BV8-40.

I am able to start RADIO - the old kind (FM) and then use the Beo4 to get N-RADIO which gets me the new kind (Tune-In). I can deselect A-MEM and join the Essence's room to that source. I can "switch-off" the Essence room by pressing the bottom of the wheel, and then press the top of the wheel and re-join.

I can shut down (standby) the entire system playing A-MEM with a long push on the bottom of the wheel to stop Essence & it's speakers, BV8-40 & it's speakers, and the BeoSound 4.
