Sorry for starting a new thread but I have tried three times, yesterday and today to post these questions in two different threads and have been blocked as moderated each time. So I am trying to post as a new thread.
The Moment was recently made available in the US and I am considering one. However I am somewhat confused about how it would work with my system and have some questions. I hope someone does not mind answering them.
I have a BV7-55 with attached speakers and a BV10-40 with attached speakers. They are connected with Masterlink along with a Beosound 5. There is another Masterlink connection available in a third room which is where my router is I also have a stand alone Beoplay V1.
My questions are:
1. Do I need one or two NetLink converters to be able to access the Moment through the BV7/speakers and BV10/speakers?
2. Does/do the converter(s) need to be connected to the BVs, or if only one is needed, could I connect it to the Masterlink in the third room?
3. Once the Moment is connected, if I wish to listen to music, must I turn the Moment using the Moment, or can I use the Beo 4 to turn music on as I do with the Beosound 5?
4. Will the Beoplay V1 connect in any manner wirelessly to the Moment or will the two remain completely separate?
5. Any comments on sound quality of Spotify on the Beosound 5 compared to Deezer on the Moment?
6. I have heard that in a couple months Deezer will make Elite available to all Deezer subscribers, not just those with Sonos system. Is this true?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much. I am beginning to think I should look at the Essence more seriously than I have been.
I suppose you could call the third room the technical room. It is where my desk top computer is, router, internet connection, etc are all located
If I am understanding correctly I could connect the Essence there along with a Net Link Converter and then everything should work.
Another question: I believe I have read that with NL there is no Audio Master. I have disconnected my Beosound 3000 as I was never able to get it to function correctly with the Beosound 5 in the system. With the Essence or Moment, and NL, if no Audio Master, should I be able to have both the Beosound 5 and Beosound 3000 connected to the system?

Me too.
I've just been checking the specifications, and the fact that the Moment doesn't have airplay was surprising to me. I know these two systems aren't geared for the same type of listener, but it seems like a slight omission for the Moment not to have all the specs that the Essence has.
If I am looking at things correctly, either the Moment or Essence would provide the same functions. Only differences I see is with the Moment there is the wood/touch screen controller so with the Essence would lose that, including the mood wheel but still have full control through the app. And with the Essence, still get Spotify which is what I am using now, in addition to Deezer, whereas the Moment only offers Deezer.
Unless I missed it somewhere, I still don't see AirPlay capability with the moment.
As you point out though, the moment would be a dedicated and tactile music system -- which can be controlled via beomusic app, so theoretically, I can play music from the app through the moment, correct? Is that via Bluetooth or some other protocol?
I guess the question is whether the moment also handles AirPlay and whether Spotify will come to the moment?
I do not see Airplay as available either.
No (native) AirPlay on the Moment .
Connect a Playmaker to the 'line-in' - then you'll can have AirPlay in your setup...and still have a 'line-in' free.
