we need some more information. Do you use Beolab - are they connected to BeoCenter or Beovision Avant?

you have to configure your new setup: so you have to change the options:
Avant: option 2
BeoSound: option 0
Avant and Beosound are in stand by.Now you press the red button and "LIST" on your Beo4 at once. The display now shows "ADD?". Now you press "LIST" again and again till you see "Config?" press "GO"and "LIST" till you find "A.OPTION" then you press "0" (zero) - the red light of the BeoSound will light up once. Now you press red button and "list" again (same way as before) but now you stop at "V-Option" - then prss "2" - the red light on the Avant will light up once.
Now the options has been changed. If you press "CD" or "Radio" on your Beo4 the Avant should turn up and you should hear sound.
I hope the steps are right - unfortunately I have no Beo4 here at the moment. Perhabs the users guide will help you little bit more:

did you try pressing <AV> and <CD> or >RADIO< ? do you hear CD e.g. now?
