Hello Jeffers33,

we need some more information. Do you use Beolab - are they connected to BeoCenter or Beovision Avant?

Hi! I brought an avant 28" with a beosound 2300 that played through the tv only. Iv now brought an avant 32" and plugged the converter in to the 32" tv, same as the last but when I push cd nothing happens. I have no speakers yet only the tv.

you have to configure your new setup: so you have to change the options:

Avant: option 2

BeoSound: option 0

Avant and Beosound are in stand by.Now you press the red button and "LIST" on your Beo4 at once. The display now shows "ADD?". Now you press "LIST" again and again till you see "Config?" press "GO"and "LIST" till you find "A.OPTION" then you press "0" (zero) - the red light of the BeoSound will light up once. Now you press red button and "list" again (same way as before) but now you stop at "V-Option" - then prss "2" - the red light on the Avant will light up once.

Now the options has been changed. If you press "CD" or "Radio" on your Beo4 the Avant should turn up and you should hear sound.

I hope the steps are right - unfortunately I have no Beo4 here at the moment. Perhabs the users guide will help you little bit more:

Still no joy, thanks very much for helping though. I can't understand. If I keep pressing cd on both remotes for a long time the tv go's off and the 2300 comes on as it should, but not every time. It's been ages just sitting there and I don't want to bring the smaller avant back in. Very frustrating. But I can't thank you enough I don't feel so alone lol any more suggestions would be most welcome thanks
