I understand the main function of Beotime is a remote control and alarm clock. As it works with Lutron Rania (B&O Version) - when the alarm goes off will it turn the lights on for you?

Thanks.

As far as I can see there is no possibility to turn on the lights when the alarm goes on.

You can however turn on the light with the Beotime even when it is connected to the Lutron Rania.

If your Lutron lights respond to Beo IR commands in LIGHT mode, Beotime is able to control your Lutrons by the alarm function.

You just have to configure the Beotime to MLGW.

I don't have a clue what MLGW is?

Sorry - MasterLink GateWay. You don`t need one, you just set up your Beotime for use with the MLGW.

It is possible to turn the lights on (together with the alarm) with the BeoTime.

You just do not need a MLCW.

Handle like this:

- hold and press the menu-button for 10 seconds

- then, keep holding/pressing the menu button, and pull/push the sidewaybutton 4 times in and out.

Now you have an extra menu for the lights, including modes.

This works for me.

Succes!

Thanks this works with and without the Lutron Rania.

Is there also a way to prefend the Beotime from beeping when the alarm goes off?

Music an light is more then enough to get me awake.

The alarmbel of the BeoTime cannot be switched off.

One reason is that is "always" awake you, even when the musicsystem does not swtch on or when you did not wake up, by just turning on the lights.

Thats how b&o developed this beautiful timepiece!

I know from past that the remote area of lutron rania is fairly poor, I.e. you actually have to point the remote at the lights. Is this the case with the beotime? Thanks.

I have two ranias and never had to point the remote at the light switch.
