A new thread to help B&O prioritize what needs to be fixed/added to BeoMusic of them to succeed (the current version has some very serious issues).

To start the list off:

• Ability to remove unused sources.
• Faster Start up time
• Universal search across all sources
• Vertical list for multi-room (the horizontal list is a pain in the ass and only allows 6 zones before needing to scroll)

 

 

I agree with your list phult, especially #1 & #3!!!

Here are some of my ideas, many selfish for my use case anyway:

• Allow Televisions to be active musical devices in BeoMusic - I believe most all current televisions have the HomeMedia function which can be connected to a Twonky server instance. I know I have my BV11 connected to my music server just like the Essence is, and it would be nice to just turn it on and select music via BeoMusic
• Ability for BeoMusic to "reload" available sources without having to quit and restart the app.
• Standby button available across all screens, rather than only the vertical group device list.
• Although volume may be controlled via the device's volume buttons, how about a vertical scroll thumb which can be seen when the circular volume controller is hidden? Additionally, I believe in previous versions of the App, the volume number was seen for a moment when the volume was changed. I'd like to be able to view the volume level at a glance numerically.
• Alphabet list on the right or left margin to enhance the ability for scrolling quickly through a large list. Twonky does have the "Artist Index" but having this alphabet list like most iDevices already do in their native apps is a very convenient approach.
• A "Home" button or function to head back to the top of the navigation tree, or enable the iOS wide drag in from the left edge of the screen to go back a menu

This app is complete rubbish.

Its not user friendly, its not handy to use, too much action in actually finding something, menu is a complete mess, no possibility for random play.

I'm thinking to reinstall iTunes, Jriver or Audirvana to have again a decent remote to control my music.

There is not other solution for Beomusic, rewrite that app and let it write from someone with less brain twisting.

- It is to complicaded to choose a new track in the same playlist when a track from that playlist is playing. The best would be to only touch the name of the track to get back again to the playlist. Now I need to go the whole way around to change track in the same playlist. Maybe there is a better way but I have not found it.

- There should be a Figurated Moment ML source in the app that not activate the speakers connected to the Moment when listen to music throw ML sources and controlling the Moment from the Beomusic app.
