I hope we could have one or two leaked pictures, even of we know It doesn't do justice to the product, as always... Wink

Do you think the white lines could be the lines of the TV speakers ?

Yes I would agree

I also wonder if the two other colours represent the television too?

Thanks Greg ! Yes - thumbs up

Michael, i'm saying no too, because the colors have already been used by B&O for the BeoLink Multiroom pictures and web site.

I'm impatient to discover the "harder, more masculine/aggressive design" of the Horizon.

And the stand, "black and looks more like a set of circular rails" seems cool too ! Smile

New B&O TV with "Philips Inside".

TP Vision, the maker of Philips TV in Europe and other areas, is said to be delivering the electronics and software for the upcoming Bang & Olufsen TV with Android.

why not just state that this is just a rumour!

So they fired the Danish developers and are buying into a platform for Philips tvs that they will quickly adapt to work with power link and network link? I find this suspect and odd. Sounds bad actually. Will it be years of bugs? Bad handling of B&O integration? Will it even feel as a BV does?

I noticed that my tvs haven't gotten -any- updates what so ever since BL90 was released (and then just so that speaker profile went into the system). Up until then updates came every now and then. I guess we now know why that stopped. Guess it also means our tvs won't get any more updates either(?).

Moving to a new platform might be a good thing but from what I read on recordere and also taking into account the B&O stock and "crazy" buyers of the company - and the move to co-develop with LG from 2017 makes me believe this is a quick fix. (Fire employees - free up money, buy into developed platform to market a "Netflix tv" and then dismiss it for an altogether new LG tv - branded as B&O?

I am a bit skeptical today but for sure I have good reasons for it.

Hopefully I am wrong. Smile

New TVs come with LG panels. Global dimming. When I googled it to see what it was about, I've got to say there wasn't much good being said about it on the Internet.

Hopefully everything has been ironed out. An example of what people were complaining about....

Once OLED in B&O is out, I will consider to switch my 12-65 plasma. Never going back to LCD, no matter promises on deep and awesome blacks...

Cheers I will.

With reference to plasma, I only believe there was an UHD plasma built purely as a technology demonstrator. I couldn't see plasma being able to achieve HDR capabilities thoug, considering even its top models still suffered from screen burn when playing SD and HD material.

I've had plasmas for over ten years, one panel is 10+ years old, and I have never had burn in issues. Of course, I never played video games on one, or left up a channel that had a bright logo on the bottom of the screen, but IMO the burn in issue is overrated. I still think UHD is very overrated, it's a solution to a non existent problem, designed to churn the market not make anyone's lives or experiences better. A 4k, 46 inch, LCD panel with bad contrast will be a loser compared to even a cheap HD plasma in the performance areas that matter. HDR, great potential, will depend on implementation and how black the panel will be able to do.

Beovirus victim, it's gotten to be too much to list!

My Beovision 5 is 13 years old and I don't have any problems either. Plasma could have done UHD, but never HDR. And that's the tech I'm waiting for.

Thankfully OLED is getting cheaper by the month, and I wander how long it will be before it becomes truly mainstream.

I wonder how stunning HDR will actually look when it finally gets here, or will it be a disappointment as so many hyped technologies wind up being? Certainly 3D never lived up to the hype. And 4k pixels doesn't.

I usually watch TV in the evening when I can control light levels, not pitch dark but not daylight bright either, so my VT plasma looks just stunning, incredible black levels and detail in dark scenes. If I do watch in daylight, the THX Bright Room setting does OK, but if it's really bright it's not perfect, perhaps where HDR and brighter white level might make the most difference.

I was not overly impressed with the pictures on the Avants I've seen, either the 55 or the 85 inch one. The 85 does have an impressive picture if only because of its size and seeing things you don't see on smaller screens just due to the size of the image. But ultimately I came home, looked at my plasma, and felt absolutely no need to upgrade. I used Blade Runner to demo it, something that stresses the black level performance of a TV. Granted not a 4k disc but resolution wasn't the thing I thought lacking.

All this talk about 4K and 8K.. The largest cable provider in Belgium (Telenet) is still delivering content in 720P (or 1080i)... Really wonder how long it will take to get broadcasters on the 4K train.. It's been taking almost almost 2 decades to have the picture format in 16:9

Forget the broadcast material at 15 Mbps, when you can now get UHD with HDR Bluray at 100 Mbps. The 4K/8k thing isn't really at the top if my list to be honest. More UHD pixels, great. Much better HDR pixels fantastic.

It will be interesting to see the new TVs, but it's next years OLED Beovisions I'm really waiting for.

In the meantime Loewe releases an OLED television with HDR and a well-known speaker solution, the Bild 7:
