A new portable Bluetooth speaker is to be released very soon:
B&O PLAY A1 – a new, ultra portable Bluetooth speaker with microphone, dust and splash resistant, up to 24 hours of play time from a single battery charge, Bang & Olufsen Signature Sound and premium materials including anodised aluminium and leather.
The speaker will be available in Natural, Dusty Rose and Moss Green colors.

Duels:I'm a little puzzled as to why it might have a microphone.
Might be that you can use it as a conference speaker.

Yes it's for conference calls. Harmon Kardon released one two years ago. Hopefully it should be as good as the tiny BOSE one - that takes a lot of beating sound wise for its size and price point.
That passes the test of a good product. I don't need it ,but I want one!

As far as I know, the launch is delayed a week.

Just come back from listening to the A1 (I was blindfolded for the journey by B&O, so I can't tell you where it was) and I have to say it is absolutely SUPERB
I played a few tracks through the A1 from my iPhone, in particular "No Sanctuary Here" by Chris Jones (one of the Beolab 90 test tracks) really blew me away. I couldn't believe (even after years of listening to B&O speakers) just how rich and deep the sound was from such a tiny speaker.
I would rate this above the A2 for volume, clarity and sound quality. Needless to say, I came straight back to the workshop and sorted out some cables to get the best from the A1
When your local dealer gets them in stock, take your favourite tracks on a portable music player and go for a listen, you won't be disappointed!
