mjmedlo:Be sure it's recognized and controllable from B&O. Do you use a control system? Or just the B&O puc for your connected devices?
ahjrennie:I have a pulse 8. Works perfectly. I had one issue with the power connection they swapped it out within 72h. They monitor remotely and my b&o dealer lets me know if there's an issue. They're a small team based in Dorset so service is amazing. So much cheaper than Altona as well.
Seems to be a very interesting product - HDMI CEC , 3D , 4K, contextuel ir, HD baseT, web interface...
can be puc controle as stated by StÜrrock here on Beoworld about 6 months ago.
I'd like to know about the neo @ahjrennie - thanks.
Stefan
The Pulse 8 Has sources as if you had something directly plugged into the TV. It switches sources from the beoremote 1 and even BLGW. The source is listed as Matrix 1,2,3,4, e.t.c rather than Virgin TV or Apple TV.
Hi there, yes indeed the matrix can sense beo remote commands and then send them to the appropriate device attached to the Matrix - through the necessary PUC codes.. Is there anything else you would like to know?
Thanks,
Alex
I've never used an Altona so don't know exactly but it works as you'd expect - seamless distribution of video sources with full ir control.

Thanks for your reply, Alex,
so I`d like to know more details about your setup and the way you use the neo matrix, if you don`t mind...
Which beovisiond do you use in your setup?
Is it a Masterlink- or Netlink setup?
When you control your 3rd party devices via the neo, is it via the Beovisions or via the neo IR receivers?
Do you need the Beo matrix activation key?
Which puc do you use for the matrix, as mjmedio said there is no pulse eight puc in the Beo database.
Do you control the devices by Beo`s source butoons like TV, DVD, V.MEM...? You said, the four sources connected to the neo are listed as Matrix 1,2,3,4. (I assume you have the 4/4 HDbaseTmatrix). What is displayed on the Beovisions, when you select a source?
Sorry, a lot of questions... and thank you again for the kind help!
stefan:Do you need the Beo matrix activation key?
Hi Stefan,
Just to let you know, in December 2015, Struer decided they would make the HDMI Matrix Feature activation keys available free of charge. You'll just need to ask your dealer and provide them with the model and serial number of your BV.
I'm also interested in further information on how the Neo Matrix works with a BV.
Martin.

Martin, thanks for that information - it`s new to me.
Maybe there are also some members (dealers?), who are able to provide some info, drawings, installation guide, concerning the neo matrix.
StÜrrock already told us in october last year about Pulse Eight.
http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/p/16884/147323.aspx#147323
The Atlona matrix is still the only matrix on Beo`s official supported matrix "list". My dealer had a cal with Beo in Struer while I was in the store, and that`s what they told him.
So it looks like - 1: a dealer created a puc for the Neo matrix (as I heard, dealers can buy the software to create pucs for Beovisions), oR
- 2: Pulse eight use the same ir codes as Atlona...(?!).
Maybe Alex , StÜrrock or someone else can tell us a bit more about it...? - thanks.
Switched from Atlona to Pulse Eight matrixes quite some time ago.
Very happy and works extremely well with B&O and other products.
Great support from the manufacturers (know the MD personally).
Has a web interface, suports CEC for non B&O sets.
In 18 months all customer's very happy.
PM with your email address for more details.

I don`t know what`s the secret about Pulse Eight, but I `ve sent you a pm some time ago...(?)

Just noticed my email for PMs doesn't exist anymore. Will change when I get am mo.
Why not just contact Pulse Eight, their exisitance is no secret?
Or you could just rely on the forum slaves to do the research for you

Hi StUrrock,
I think what I, Stefan, and others are interested in initially are independent opinions on these matrix from those with experience using them in a B&O environment - eg:
1. Do they emulate the atlona commands and thus use one of the Atlona PUCs (if so which one?) or did you have to create a custom PUC?
2. Have you discovered any downsides to deviating away from B&Os supported solution (Atlona)?
3. Are there any differences from either an installer, or end user perspective that we ought to be aware of?
I've no issue with contacting the manufacturer directly for support, but I don't know how familiar they are with B&O so it's the B&O specific stuff I am concerned with initially.
Kind Regards,

...because I`d like to know more about Beointegration of the Neo matrix - and you offered more details via pm.

I did a lot of research - see my posts above....

Exactly - that`s it - thanks Martin!

In answer to your questions,
1. They listen for the Atlona commands so you can use theStandard Atlona PUC
2. No problems no problems at all.
3. Just to be careful when setting up the product integration settings in the new TVs take it stage by stage and you will have no problems. Why not call Martyn @ Pulse eight (the MD) he is just fab, he will tell you all you need to know and more.

Hello all, we've just found this forum, we are here if you have questions, or you can email our support team support@pulse-eight.com if you have questions about our matrixes.
In summary we are a more affordable alternative to Atlona, we have remote diagnostics, so we can provide your installer (and you) with health information on the cables, connected devices and the matrix.
We are able to control devices from our smartphone/web app and we also link in with Amazon Alexa, so you can say things like "Alexa, turn on Sky Q on lounge" and we will switch the channel for you. You can even say "Alexa, change channel to BBC one" to change to 101 without picking up the remote.
Hope this is helpful!

I just had a look at your website. Do any of your products eliminate the hdcp from the hdmi output? (Not by design, but as an added bonus perhaps?)
