Hi all,
I saw today a new update for my essence and beaoplay A6. I made the update but didn't found anything related to this new version.
Did you find it or have you noticed anything ?
Here is the version now installed on my hardware : 1.5.376.31186857.

Was GOOGLE Cast available on the A6 prior to this upgrade, I don't remember .... It is now!

No Google cast was not available, so that's part of the improvment :)
But I see my A6 in the Google Cast app, but not the Essence MKII :(
Seems to be only for the Play-branded systems:

I wonder what is the logic behind that - hardware limitations, or?
Anyway - for me as an iOS-user not that important.
I can cast to my Essence mk2 after this update so keep trying.
Although, if Chromecast was just added,, how did Spotify work before this?

Spotify is using a proprietary solution with SpotiFy Connect

So you must be a magician :) now changelog is available and no Google cast for essence...
Not a magician, but perhaps confused with terminology.
From the Spotify app, I see the Essence as a "Spotify Connect" device, just like I see my Chromecast. If this is not "Chromecast", sorry, I guess I don't know what I am talking about... aside from knowing that I am streaming from Spotify to Essence without using my phone. Further investigation shows that TuneIn doesn't show the Essence as a cast device so it must not be. Oh well.
At least I answered my own question above of how did it work before the update... Apparently, the same as after. ;)
New on this software : it is now possible to "push" music using DLNA protocol to my Beoplay A9, which was impossible since I got it (march). It was possible to do that with a mkI beosound essence at release.
In simple words, it allows to use a lot of apps instead of Beomusic to listen to music on the BS9, without having to stream from a phone (battery will last longer), and to use a lot of PC/Mac softwares.

A setting with 'My Buttons' can only relate to the BROne - maybe a hint too for the coming BT version.
I guess we will soon know more, since that should cone with the new tv(s).
Anyone, who knows more???
