Anybody have any experience with an iPad App called Creation 5? It is designed to provide control of the Beosound 5 with full cover art, US price is $49.99

This looks like it may be the App we have been waiting for.
bsantini:But... Will need to raise my cover art rez to 1000x1000!
This page has a link to a video of the app....

Amazing app!
Why didnt B&O think of this?
There is picture on the developer's web page of a similar interface but for entire home control, including B and O and the interface is displayed on the screen of a BV7.
The App for full home automation and B and O control is $140.00 and requires additional hardware.
This is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for! Interestingly, when I downloaded it just a few minutes ago the app was FREE. It doesn't seem to be a trial period app or lack the full features.
I'm noticing that the cover art still is lacking good definition. Still, the interface is exactly what I've been hoping for.
Lucky you! Free?! I had to pay $50.00.
It appears wonderful but I am also having the cover art problems you mention of lacking good definition. Additionally most covers disappear completely from both the Beosound 5 and the app.
Also, the all tracks selection does not load well, as if there is too much data.
I have not tried it yet but the instructions mention being able to select an album and have it play the entire album.
Turning the Beosound 5 on and adjusting volume from the app works well.
I just checked the app download page on iTunes and it shows as free. There's $50 I wasted.
With this app, it's worth buying an entry-level iPad at just $399 to keep in a link room on a charger to use as a dedicated BeoSound 5 controller.
At version 1.0, I'm sure this will get even better with future versions. It might be nice to have the option to turn off the cover art slide show.
The BeoPlay A3 just got a whole lot more attractive. I'm now picturing an iPad in an A3 on my nightstand. What an ideal BeoSound 5 controller to have in a link room.
I have had exactly the same thought about the A3.
If it is free, I also lost $50.00. But it is still worth it.
Wish list:
1. Ability to show full screen album art for album playing now...like BS5 does
2. Ability to shut off system from app.
I downloaded a 1000x1000 hi res art for one album to see how it would look , but have to wait for THAT album to scroll through in order to confirm improvement (see point #1)

I haven't been able to get mine to load beyond "C" in albums. Obviously, they still have some bugs to work out. Perhaps this is why it went from being $50 to free.
I have tried to use it this morning but it can't locate my BeoSound/Master 5 at all....
PS. The app is only free for 48 hours.... You will then need to pay for it.
HI everybody can you tell me if this application is available for Beosound 5 encore ? Thanks for your answers. Pascal
Yep... definately 'server on'...
The free trial was/is meant for dealers to try it out.
I have absolutely no problem with all my albums loading, but then aagin I have really made sure my tags are ideal/correct and album art is both embedded and in the cvr folder (possible with Bliss Tagger).
Even my Love Never Dies 1000x 1000 hi res art does show beautifully on the Ipad. Will be upping the rez specs for art starting now.
LUV IT!
I contemplated downloading last night. .
Raz what did you find out about the whole home set up?
Does it work through/with MLGW and RadioRa2?
That looked very cool!
The app looks pretty good if it works without drop outs. .
what are you all using for a router?

I used it a bunch yesterday and liked it. The download was free, so it sure can't hurt to try it. It ignores the ML Gateway, as the "brain" appears to be similar to many of the available mobile apps that read DLNA servers (Twonky app does the same thing). What makes it different is the nice interface, though it has a couple of minor quirks to work around; nothing significant. It seems to run an album art "slideshow" in the background I don't care for, that I haven't had time to investigate.
We use a Cisco router subnet from an Airport Extreme and it works just fine. BTW, it didn't work well until I completely shut down the iPad (3) and restarted.
Then it was fine. And now, after a good night's sleep, it has gone right back to work.
anyone using the whole home system? the one that displays on the screen?
i think that would be rather interesting to check out
I will give it a go
anyone tried the whole home system?
that displays on the screen of the beovision?

I took another look at the web page. It mentions either a Masterlink Gateway or a MLPLNet Interface for the other App. What is a MLPLNet Interface?
I've bought it earlier today and tried to use it, hoping it would relieve some of the frustrations of the BS5/BM5.
It didn't completely, there are many many issues with this app:
I just worked with the App also, and it miss features as mentioned above, i.e. I would like to use other search criterias as Album Artist (or cover), an option to quickly go from A to Z (index) and especially also Radio. But the are limitation with DNLA if you have a LOT of content, and if DNLA is used, we will not get Radion included either.
But its one of the more nice looking interfaces I have seen until now, really hope this developes.............or that B&O finally will come with an App.
