I have a 5500 and the tray will not close all the way. with about 1/4" to the end, it hits a lot of resistance on that white plastic lubed piece that it needs to flip into Do you think this is due to the rubber belt being old/dry and slipping? or could it be some other adjustment I need to do? I see there are 4 screws that will adjust the height of the tray, but it appears they are as high as they will go I filmed a quick video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxXmxjFlrYE thanks!

wow the text formatting in that is sure messed up. I spaced the sentences apart when I posted that, not sure why it looks like a run-on sentence ;)

Your video is set as private so I couldn't view it - but the most likely causes are dried lubricants on the tracks (the tray needs to move with very light effort) and you may need to replace the belt as well.

https

thanks!!

changed vid to public ( it was set to public when I uploaded it....I am not having much luck with browser lately )

the tracks seem lubed, the tray slides very easily until the last 1/4 where it hits that white plastic piece, and there is a lot of resistance to get the tray through that

I wonder if this text formatting will work, I am on a different computer

I'd replace the belt first, it certainly is past its prime anyway.
