Duels:What have we done.....?
paolomariano:Oh my God! What's that thing?!
Duels:Ok the last one was a coconut Belgian and a mango Belgian. Not good at all. In fact we had to revert to brewdog's punk IPA on draft to get over the bad taste.

Needs a Nickname:Black IPAs are fairly common here in Minnesota, even many of the local breweries have them, I think of them as cold weather IPAs. Americans, we even have Belgian style IPAs. Everything is IPA. What a great time to be alive. Peter-
Needs a Nickname:Oh, you are in for a fantastic trip! I live in a less populated state than others and we have well over 100 breweries, I have a couple in walking distance. You can pretty much look at any city (or neighborhood in the case of ny, chicago) you will be staying in, and google "brew pub" or "brewery" and you will find many. It seems the local places have 1 or 2 beers they just nailed, many small cask non-distributed amazing examples. The best way to find the best beer in small tap room is just ask the server or the guy or gal at the tap, who is often a brewmaster. We will go, brewery crawling in Minneapolis (St Paul's twin city across the Mississippi River) and walk from brewery to brewery in some of the more densely concentrated brewery areas, trying different beers and meeting other like minded "hipsters." The two in the middle of my fridge are black IPAs from my local brewery Thornbridge. Very fine indeed.
paolomariano:Wow!! You live in the States!! Next July I will travel from NYC to Memphis and Nashville and then to Chicago and then back to Ny. Can you tell me how to find good microbreweries on the way?
elephant:Here's a route map for you 😁
