Bernard Czech IPA. Not like a real IPA but it's nice to have a break from all the Pilsners here in Prague. Beer

I quite enjoyed the dark (almost black) staropramen when I was there.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll be keeping my eyes open for it. Today I might dive into the Czech spirits... hello anise!

Used to drink this on holiday in Greece years ago, now rebrewed and exported again, great with tomato salad and home made chips!

You are welcome.

Just heading off for a few beers myself. It's Friday and it would be rude not to.

It comes from Provence (South East of France), with bees all around (same as Laguiole's knives)

Bent paddle Black Ale, from up north in Duluth, right off Lake Superior.

A good companion to comparison listening day #2. A couple matching RX2s, a bunch of external phono preamps with the matching mmc3s, and a few newer rebuilt cartridges, a handful of different soundsmith carts to compare and then various versions of platters.

I need more duplicates of albums if I'm going to keep doing thisWink

Just a little something to keep me going.

American style red rye ale with Australian hops. Go figure.

Nice on a wet cold night like tonight.

Thanks! I can thank you and Søren for it. I started comparison testing scotch whiskeys after drinking the Black Ale and then I was inspired! Or maybe it was hearing the doobie brothers for the 6th time...Cool

Ah well we do like a whisky too. I'm enjoying exploring American rye whiskeys and bourbons at the moment but I guess that's a whole new thread.

Meanwhile I've treated myself to another beer. This is an absolutely gorgeous chocolate porter.......

It tastes of chocolate but that just comes from the hops. There's no chocolate in it.
