While Paolo is eating schnitzel, it's raining here on my day off so I'm enjoying a bit of ramen and wontons with a Boulevard IPA.

Also, I'm a bit late on this, but the new Thundercat album is fantastic.

Funny to hear about Chateauneuf du Pape from the USA !

I was living near Chateauneuf in my youth, and I just bought 12 bottles of 2015...

Ok, my trip is going on and yesterday evening I was in Nashville (Tennessee) eating the most incredible ribs ever tried, at The Peg Leg Porker.

Believe me, they were gorgeous...

We decided the right beer for them was a local IPA whose name I don't remember (unfortunately)

Sad

Fabulous Paolo. I think it's a good rule that the best beer for most things is the local IPA. Wink

As thick as tar to pour

9% (the cellar-man said "don't drink this and try to drive")

Smooth with a little bite at the end

Pleasant but not yet something to rave over

It was a sample.

So I'll tell them there is pent up world wide demand from connoisseurs of tar

What a clever idea Idea

Today's beer is from Canada : Boréale amber ale

Rich amber color, caramelized malt, a touch of bitterness
